Rolex Lawyers Attack
We have sold and serviced Rolex watches for 30 years, and in the past 5 years, have grown to the point that we got the attention of Rolex attorneys. (Yes, we are a little flattered). Even though we have disclaimers on all ads, and in store signage, the Rolex attorneys do not want us using "Crowns" of any design, the word "Rolex" in any ad except in a sentence that we service them. This puts a huge burden on our being able to advertise. Can you advise me of others who have had this difficulty and how they resolved an acceptable solution.

When the watch gods like you... Triumph!!!
I just got my new Triumph 3036-02 (silver face) retrograde Chronograph today and all I can say is wow! I was looking for a daily beater to wear around town while I complete my honey-do list and I found this for $49.99 from Amazon*. It's listed as retailing for around $700, and while this price is greatly inflated, even if it cost three times as much as I paid for it, it would be money well spent. First off the size is very nice about 41mm wide, not too big or too small. Secondly, the dial is just excellent, you can't tell from the photos online but it has a face with two levels. The outer ring consisting of arabic numerals and the center section containing the chrono and second hands is recessed. The crown and pushers are very nice and don't stick out too far and are easy to use, everything turns/pushes nice and smooth. It also has a great croc looking leather band that also has a locking clasp type release instead of a buckle. The weight is excellent too, not heavy but not too light.

Speedmaster 9300
Received the new 9300 Speedmaster. It does not sit as high on the wrist as some commentators opined. It is actually very comfortable on the stainless steel. Be careful when taking the screws out to size the bracelet as they are very small, and both sides have to be taken out to remove the sleeve. Very legible dial, and supposedly water resistant down to 330 feet for whomever was asking the question about swimming in their Speedy, although the owner's manual suggests rinsing it off if you have been in Seawater, and not using the chrono buttons under water. My first day, so too soon to tell, particularly for a Rolex guy, but this one seems like a terrific watch right out of the box.
