Hamilton Watches Open Up Their New Movement
I've been a fan of the Hamilton Jazzmaster line for some time now, and have appreciated some of the open-heart dials they've created in the past. Their latest (the Viewmatic Skeleton), though, is truly a skeleton watch, not just a dial with some cut out pieces of metal.That's because the Jazzmaster Viewmatic Skeleton watches (yes, this is a his-n-her's release) were designed with the intent of showing off their new H-20-S automatic movement. There's very little in the way of you seeing the actual moving parts at work, and the movement itself has cutouts and finishing (laser-engraved) that lets you know the movement was meant to be seen.Of the two models, I think the women's one may be the more legible of the two - though I'd be concerned about losing the polished hands against the white dial. 5 year warranty worth the extra $$?
Hi all, I am in a small dilemma. The boutique in Singapore currently offers a 5 year warranty for all watches purchased from them. It covers all servicing and parts excluding polishing, unlimited number of times that I am able to send the watch in for servicing as I wish. Am currently considering between an RG RO or a RG ROO. The boutique prices are currently on average SGD $4000 higher than what I am able to get from dealers. Question is, is it worth while to get the 5 year warranty for a SGD $4000 premium? Longest time you've waited for a watch repair?
I just found out that the watch I dropped off on 6/12/2012 won't be ready till 12/18/2012 then takes two more weeks to get to the Omega boutique....So I guess New Years will be a fun and expensive day for me. Shesh 6 and a half months for a repair..
