We consider ourselves a pretty lucky bunch over at ABTW - we get hands-on time with the watches we enjoy, and we get to share our passion with the community. Great fun!However, once in a while we get really lucky, and a brand like Oris sends us to the Cayman Islands to earn our diving certification as part of the December 2014 watches-dealer giveaway. This is my DQ Tridor Pres...white, yellow and rose gold..Very rare modern Pres..made in small numbers over 15 years..Rolex had patented the process of fusing the three metals together. They were first produced as a SQ then a DQ near the end of the production run. The DQ TRIDOR was made in far less quantities then the SQ.Arthur

Hamilton Military Watch Trivia
MIL-W-46374B, published 7 May 1975, added the requirement for the H3 and radiation symbol to the dial, "centrally located and clearly visible". Revision B also broadened and deepened the requirements for handling, applying, and disposing of Tritium, and watches containing Tritium. These "B" type watches were the first required to have "Dispose Rad. Waste" inscribed on the caseback. Also new was the requirement for a durable protective clear coating on the hands. This explains why the tritium luminous material on the "B" type watches seems to stay adhered to the hands much longer than on earlier versions. The watch strap (specified as a Type II MIL-S-46383B strap) was to be Olive Drab in color. As with earlier specifications in this series, the bars were required to be fixed or "integral". Ok - I kept it quiet but I have had my eyes on this baby for a while. I know a lot of people prefer the Nautilus (which is a great, great, watch) but I've always liked his younger brother the Aquanaut just a little bit more.I have to admit I'm really, really excited at the moment. You all know that feeling when you have bought a watch and you have absolutely no regrets or doubts whatsoever? That's how I feel. I hope you like the watch, if not the crappy iPhone pics.Feel free to be honest about my selection, as I'm really not one of those precious posters that defends his watches like a lioness defends her cubs.
