Hello , My name is Tristan and I live near Girona Spain, As watch and mainly Rolex lover I had been snooping around before but never got to join . I am fairly active member on another Rolex site , not on very good terms with the owner here. It was because I recently had the mishap to have my 116520 stolen from my home by someone I trusted . ( not going to bore you with that ) That I was shopping around Ebay , and came upon a suspect watch , it was a difficult one to call , I ended up contacting one of the Rolex guru's ( the site owner ) about it . He was , I must say extremely forthcoming and also invited me to come and join here . Which I did . Watches : Mainly Rolex . I stared off with a second hand 1603 in 1992 and worked my way up to a 116520 in 1994 ( an F-reg I exchanged for a V-reg ) and that V-reg is the one that got stolen 10 days ago . I'm sure this is a touchy subject potentially, but I didn't see a FAQ or thread on the general pros and cons of buying via the 'net. What have your experiences been? Saved a lot of $$$ and feel retail stores in some mall are for suckers? Feel buying off the 'net is just crazy and you would never do it? Will do it if the 'net based store is an AD? Have made major purchase off say Ebay? Have a trusted 'net based store you have used you wanna recommend and or PM me with?As for me, back in the day I have purchased a few lower end Tags and a Omega Seamaster from a non AD 'net outlet without any problems. I would not do that with anything more expensive then that however. My Rolex Yacht Master I purchased from a retail store and got 10% off the MSRP.Interested to hear opinions, experiences, recs, etc of internet based buying, which I realize is a large topic.

I know and can see, most of the earlier Constellations (pre-65) are sought-after by collectors.I intend getting a Constellation watch, too. However, the way the earlier Constellations are priced, definitely they are beyond me.Alternatively, I feel like getting a Constellation 'C' (with caliber 561 or 564), since the asking price is still within reason, but the question is, will it ever be a collectible time-piece, some years from now.Which one is the best to pick up, an 18k solid yellow gold one, pink gold or a white gold one?

Hi everyone,Just last month I had an opportunity to pick up 2 more Pateks BNIB from the AD -they are both pieces that I thought were good ways to build a stronger relationship with my AD without losing much if any money. They are still both unworn.
