Incoming.....'R' You Serious???
My name is Roger. Same as one of Hamilton's 1955 14K solid yellow gold models...So I just had to have one!! Which of course kicked me off on acquiring 'R' named pre-1960 Hamiltons!! Eight so far in the past 6 weeks; plus one on the way (Raleigh 1931 Motif Engraved) and one that's been deemed an honorary 'R' - "Round 22J" until its real name is known. Mr Ross is completely unwell and is awaiting a heart/lung transplant.The stark lighting for these images has highlighted every scratch - yuk! NOS crystals are either in hand or awaited for the whole lot and the plan is to get some or all of the faces refinished as time and cash permits. Keeping my eyes peeled for Messrs Reardon, Raymon, Ryan, Rutledge (insert insane giggle emoticon) as well as alternative face types or better examples of all vintage Rs.Apologies for the very ordinary images; looking forward to setting up a better light source and background. A project for another time; channelling funds to watches is much more fun!

This has got to be the biggest joke on eBay - not the watch, the asking price:18K Pink Gold Longines FlagShip Jet Type Automati Watch - eBay (item 230600664708 end time Mar-30-11 12:42:52 PDT)If it isn't a typo the seller is from another planet - or has a bad conversion calculation from some foreign currencyand then they are charging shipping too!

Review: Victorinox Swiss Army AirBoss Mach 6
I received this watch as an unexpected early Christmas gift, along with the admonition: ¡°I don¡¯t know if this is a brand that even interests you, and I don¡¯t know if you¡¯ll like the color, and you can always return it and get something you really want instead.¡± Truth is, I know relatively little about Victorinox as a brand, and, left to my own devices, I probably wouldn¡¯t have been shopping around for a watch with a red dial. All that being said, this watch has been a very pleasant surprise, and I¡¯ll definitely be hanging on to it! Since there doesn¡¯t seem to be a lot of information out there concerning this model, I thought I¡¯d share some observations here.The Victorinox AirBoss Mach 6 is an auto/chrono that features a Valjoux 7753 movement. Out of the box, it has been running at around +1 sec./day, which I find to be pretty amazing. The dial on this particular model is a rich shade of burgundy ¨C the color we¡¯ve become accustomed to on the cases of Victorinox Swiss Army knives ov
