Christophe Claret Poker Watch Preview: Real Texas Hold 'Em On Your Wrist
The Poker watch by Christophe Claret is a mechanical timepiece that you can play actual poker with. This follows the innovative brand's Blackjack 21 and later Baccarat gaming watches for the ultimate horological and casino aficionado. It is hard to believe that it has already been two years since Christophe Claret debuted his Blackjack 21 watch (hands-on here) in 2011. The watch used a complex system of discs and patterns to allow you to play blackjack with the watch - with the watch being the dealer. Christophe always intended to follow-up with a watch that you could play poker with and for 2014, it is here.The Poker watch will take everything a step further and allow the user to play a full game of poker with the watch. We don't have all the details now as the watch will be fully debuted shortly, but the Poker should live up to Christophe Claret's original promise of producing a complete set of mechanical gaming watches starting with the Blackjack 21 and perhaps ending with the Poker

Patek AD Visit
I stopped by my AD today just to look around. I hadn't been there for quite awhile. It's a good thing too as they just recieved a couple of Pateks. This is the first time I had ever seen a Patek Chronograph in person. They just recieved a 5170 which they had ordered 2 years ago. Gorgeous watch, I'm sure someone will purchase it fairly soon.They had a couple of 5130's, and a 5205 Annual which looked real nice. Then he showed me a 5726 which was real intriguing. Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures but I really did enjoy my visit, I definitely saw more than what I expected to see.

Incoming... my first!
I started thinking about a Rolex last fall. At first I thought I wanted a bluesy tt, but then considered it would be too flashy in Portland Oregon. I was also worried that if I got a Rolex it would upstage my boss who wears a 20 year old sub as a daily beater. So, already being an Omega guy as they¡¯ve been in my family, I went with a Speedmaster as I felt it was understated. I really like the Speedmaster except for two things. 1) It¡¯s on a strap not a bracelet. After wearing a Seamaster on a bracelet for 10 years, the strap always feels either too loose or too tight. 2) I feel like I have to baby it, find a safe place to put it if I¡¯m going to swim or do something active. Finally, it didn¡¯t scratch the itch. I found myself constantly looking at my boss¡¯ sub in meetings. I just got back from a long trip abroad and really could have used a GMT. Couldn¡¯t find one at local ADs, didn¡¯t find one at ADs abroad. So yesterday morning I reached out to David SW. Within 10 minutes we agreed on
