Nixie Wrist Wearable Flying Drone
As if the world needed more items to put on our wrists, a startup company called Nixie (yes, another Nixie) is developing a wearable flying drone. This is all part of Intel's "Make It Wearable" challenge, where the chip producer has challenged teams to produce a new wave of wearable technology. Nixie's idea is to produce a small drone that can be wrapped on your wrist and taken with you.The company is developing a few prototypes, and it is unclear what their future will be, though they do have a site up and are promising e-mail subscribers that they will be notified about future developments. I think there is a good chance that wearable Nixie drones will see actual production at some point in the future.It is interesting from a watch lover's perspective to see the wrist becoming a hot piece of real estate (once again) for gadget creators, and this is not even including the quickly emerging smartwatch world. Seiko Automatic Chronographs questions.
Does Seiko offer any watches like the 6138 and 6139 type watches. These watches sell in the $200 to $300 range for a vintage. Are there any newer models that are still produced?like the Diver range, which had the 7002 and later became the SKX007, is there anything like that for the Chronograph range? Automatic and affordable?I would like to get some more information and possibly get me one of the Seiko Auto Chronographs.Thank You for your help.

Need some 36mm AP/RO advice
Though a 36mm Rolex Explorer I would make me happy, happy, happy... I just don't need the attention it may draw from customers or employees. I've had displays of wealth come back and bite me in the ass.Searching for a brand to fly under the radar, I've become interested in a 36mm AP-Royal Oak.I really like 36mm for my day to day use. I cannot stand much more than that size.Is there anything that should concern me about discontinued models?I understand the servicing can be expensive and time consuming.Is it more the passage of time and changing fashion that I see so few 36mm RO's? Very little discussion...They are priced right to boot.Any guidance appreciated.
