For serious watch enthusiasts there’s pretty much nothing more interesting than the launch of a new movement, and Vacheron Constantin has just introduced a brand new self-winding movement in an Overseas case; it’ll be offered in either stainless steel or 18k pink gold. This is an in-house movement, Vacheron caliber 5100, beating at 28,800 vph, with two mainspring barrels and a 60 hour power reserve. 1 OF 4 2 OF 43 OF 4 4 OF 4 The movement has a 22k gold weight for the automatic winding system, and the watch is water resistant to 150 meters. One of the most notable features of the watch is that it’s being delivered, in stainless steel, with two straps and a stainless steel bracelet, and they’re interchangeable. The pink gold model comes with a leather strap, as well as a rubber strap. Dials are in sunburst blue or silver, and the both models are certified by the Hallmark of Geneva (Geneva Seal). Got my 1st rolex!!! (with pics!)
Finally, after a year of saving, deciding, visiting Rolex dealers in 3 states, and negotiating with many of them I have my "holy grail". I bought it from an AD in a small town in Texas, where a relative helped me get a great price. I had it shipped about a week ago, and I opened it on my birthday on the seventh.I like the Explorer II because its unique, you rarely see it "around" and copies/rip-offs are few in number (especially compared to the Submariner). Its brushed 904L steel looks and feels amazing, though also not as flashy as some of the polished Rolex models.The only thing that annoys me about this watch is that to set the 24 hour hand you have to move the minute hand simultaneously. I think a 4th crown position just for the 24 hour hand would be great, though I assume Rolex has a reason for not doing it that way.My Explorer is light, but weighted enough to fit comfortably, its also nice to know that its "virtually indestructible".Thanks to everyone here on WTF for answering my

Incoming...RW Freelancer, plain and simple...and stunning
I was talking watches with my brother when I first heard of the Raymond Weil brand. RW is a family owned Swiss brand founded in 1976 during the time when many Swiss watch makers were in crisis. The Freelancer collection premiered in 2007. Very nice, but my thought at the time was they were a bit out of my league. The problem is that I kept looking at them and the Freelancer stuck in my head as a watch I must have. Along comes a "Steal of the Day" deal from Ashford and I jumped. The Freelancer is not an extravagant design. If anything it is plain and simple. A three-hand automatic...42mm in diameter without the crown and just over 10mm thick...sapphire crystals front and back...finely brushed and mirror polished stainless steel case and bracelet...22mm bracelet at the lugs with a slight taper to 20mm at the double-fold push button clasp...a textured silver dial with polished stainless steel stick markers and hands, an open date window at 4 o'clock with the Raymond Weil Geneve logo in bl

15305 26022 as a daily wearer?
I've been looking for something new and pretty much decided I will get an AP. It will take some time to save up the funds but I like to have set my goal, and then go for it. I think the 15305 or the 26022 would be (almost) perfect for me. But would you guys use either as a daily wearer? I like watches i don't have to baby or be afraid to use. Right now I use my GMTc most of the time. It¡äs pretty scratched but feels like it can take a hit.
