Omega 323.21.40.40.01.001 wrist watches news:
They have arrived! both my 50th and with it my Seamaster 2254.50. The 50th so so, the watch WOW. Even after reading so much on this Forum about the 2254.50, the joy of opening the White then the Red and finally holding the engineering marvel in my hand was wonderful. The watch was so much better than I thought and in truth is so much better than the Rolex Oyster Prince Date Just I have owned for 27 years. I like the weight of the watch not to heavy, nice size face, lovely sweep of the second hand. The watch just screams class. To all the members who wished me happy birthday on my first post, thank you. The wait was worth it.
Hey I love the brand as you know, live it even but red's not my favourite colour to be honest. The red box has become symbolic of something which contains an Omega but wouldn't it be nice if Omega gave us that polished wooden box. It came with my De Ville Co-Axial Byzantium, the only occasion I have been blessed with anything other than a red leatherette case. Being a relative newbie to the collecting scene, I've never had a red box long enough to show signs of wear but I gather from discussions past that the red can fade. Indeed because red is a mixture of yellow and magenta dyes and both these are more susceptible to oxidative fade when in contact with light, red would not really be a durable colour. Sadly, it costs Omega more to give us all polished wooden boxes..Hey a black leatherette case with a small " gold plate " on the top surface of the lid featuring the Omega name and symbol in red would do me nicely. How about you?Y'all be well pals ZIN
I mean is it within COSC limits???
...the last time someone came on with an AP issue! We seemed to go through a spell of several every week a few months ago...but now nothing! In contrast...go and look at the Patek forum and quite a lot of members are having problems with the date changing...some having problems even after the watch has been 'repaired'.
Happy Easter gentlemen!I will be vacationing in Tokyo for about 2 weeks and was contemplating having a Nautilus 5711 shipped from one of the sellers in the US. Does anyone have any idea about something like this with regards to the feasibility and import/ customs duties?Best,Anirudh
