New To Omega, Speedmaster Question
Hey guys, im new to the world of Omega. Honestly I have always been a Breitling Guy. Anyway Omegas have really caught my eye recently. I have always been a fan of Nasa, Astronauts, space flight etcMy question is about the Speedmaster Moon edition, I guess it called? I went to an AD and he really couldnt give me any answer as to whats different from all the ones on Ebay dated back years and years to the new one. I guess im wondering if there is a major difference from a Brand new one and one thats 10-20+ years old. I look forward to picking up my first Omega and joining the clubs. Thanks for the help! P.S. Is the Speedmaster a good way to break into Omega?

1929 14kt Longines Ladies Wristwatch
Greetings all! I'm happy to have found this forum. I just found my great grandmother's watch while cleaning out my mother's attic. I'm not overly concerned about value because sentimental value is most important to me. But I'm a curious type and would like to learn more about the watch. I have found some information online, but not a lot.I found the serial number and entered it into an online "Longines Year Identifier". It identified the watch as being from around 1905. That makes sense because it was likely given to her for her 15th anniversary. I understand that 1905 is when Longines started making ladies wristwatches.So, I'm interested in learning more about watch. Anything unique you notice about it? Suggestions on having it restored? Things to watch out for? Best way to find someone reputable to restore it?I would be grateful for any advice you think someone who knows NOTHING about watches should learn. Thanks so much!

ID help requested - Hamilton Orson?
Okay, so I was going to take my time, read all I could find, cross-check valuations, and maybe wait until I'm out of grad school and can actually afford to indulge in such thingsand then I saw this:Hamilton_1.jpgHamilton_2.jpgI'm pretty sure this is an Orson from 1959-1960. It's 10k gold filled with the Swiss-made 17j 673 movement (no serial number). The line drawings in the catalogs don't show any texture on the Orson dial, so I'm not 100% sure, but the other details match. Can anyone confirm?It needs a replacement crown & crystal replaced plus servicing, but the dial is in beautiful aged condition and I just fell in love with the texture. Unfortunately, so did my husband - who is normally apathetic about watches - so I think it's going to become his!
