I picked up a Hamilton Scott in coral987F 17 jewel with a 1941 serial number. The dial is coral with black enamel roman numeralsand while I've worked miracles with it (it was painted a dark color that easily lifted with cleaner) there's still some pretty unattractive corrosion underneath, and somebody years ago must have scraped away nearly all of the "HAMILTON" on the face. Had my DSOTM for 3 months now and I've read the stories of don't swim with your Speedmaster, but how waterproof is it ? I'm used to dive watches and give them a wash in the sink from time to time, can I do the same with the DSOTM ?
