First watch
Hi guys, just joined the forum after reading for a few weeks.I've never really worn watches, but always admired them; I've recently been toying with the idea of getting one and started looking on the net. I don't know why but I fancied an Omega over any other make; I love the romance of the watch and it's affiliation with James Bond I suppose. Having recently moved house and whilst I was trawling the net, my wife says that maybe I should leave it this year with all the expense of doing the house up. It was My 50th in January and we'd already booked a trip to Thailand to celebrate, so I knew it was sensible to drop the watch idea for the time being.Just before we went to Thailand, my wife threw a surprise party for me ( I really had no idea at all) and went on to give me with my first "nice" watch; I'm now proud owner of an Aqua Terra 41.5mm stainless with black teak face. I wish I could tell you more about it, but I'm a newbie to watches so here to learn.My new pride and joy....Looking

Monday Madness.
First day on my new job in a different plant. Same company though. I'm not sure what to expect or what my new job is. I'm going to stick with the Nautilus 600 for the second day in a row. Wish me luck.

Project tool watch
Some time ago I decided I wanted a tool watch. I did get a Casio ProTrek which is a wonderful watch and I have used it quite a bit actually. However I still wanted something mechanical. Of course there are many possibilities and options, some of which very espensive. I wanted something large but not overly large. My first choices were the marathon JSAR and/or the Ecozilla. The JSAR unfortunately was way over my budget and is also Quartz. The Ecozilla was also quartz and could not find a good piece for the price I wanted. Either one of these would have required additional funds for the conversion from quartz to mechanical which put the price even more out of reach for my meager budget. Several other options were gone through but in the end I decided that for me a good tool watch had to be solid, practical, legible and reliable. The whole package also needed to be economical. Sea-Gull watches
Has anyone had any experience with Sea-Gull watches, they have a 55th anniversary watch with a ST6 auto movement on the USA website for $109 shipped in the US or an extra $35 if I would like it shipped to Ireland. Seems to be good value for the money and seems to be an itch that I would like to scratch.

SIHH is almost here: What would you like to get from AP?
I kinda stole this idea from another watch forum, but hopefully the guys there wouldn't mind.So, what watches do you like AP to roll out in a few weeks from now?My wishes for the upcoming SIHH:1) RO 15202 in white gold or platinum, on bracelet. Would make an awesome grail piece, although the price may be excessive and unreachable for me in the next 1 or 2 decades :( 2) Titanium Royal Oak with a ceramic bezel, on a rubber strap, preferably in the 37-39mm range. I see 1% chance, it would be too close in many ways to the Offshore range. 3) Same as #2, but in full ceramic, on rubber strap. I see a bit higher chance to see this sometime in the future. 4) A smaller Offshore Diver, somewhere around 37 to 40mm. Just please-please don't market it as a ladies' diver, that would kill it for slim wrist men like me :)) 5) Royal Oak Annual Calendar 6) Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, preferably on a bracelet, with steel case as the base model. It would be an awesome choice for guys who'd li
