Omega 2998-62 wrist watches news:
Hi again :)I have a Calatrava in "White Gold". The model with the centre second hand, date and hobnail bezel. It has been my daily wearer for nearly 10 years now. So if anyone out there is wondering about the "toughness" of a Patek or of this finish I would just like to say "forgetaboutit". Sure it has a few light scratches but really it looks as good as the day I got it (even without glasses :D ) and I really wore that watch, bringing up 2 kids and a Rottweiler, playing home handyman and generally treating it like "just another watch". Gosh I even used to swim with it once I stopped using the original strap!Just recently though, thanks to my fathers generosity, I have relegated the PP to evening wear status and am using a Rolex by day, but I tell you what, this Sub will sure have to live up to it's reputation if it is going to look as good a decade from now, as the Patek does today ;-)
I am currently watching the Today Show and enjoy looking at Lester Holt's watch. I can't tell what brand it is. Does anyone know?
Hi guys, I've just spent a few hours looking for a skeleton diver watch I was really into about 2-3 years ago. It was a titanuim watch with an automatic kinetic winding mechanism and was in the $800-$1000 range. I remember it was a large watch, and proportionately, the face was smaller than alot of the watches I've seen tonight. I just want to thank you in advance for your help, and apologize for my abundant lack of timepiece savvy!Alex
After deciding to take my two month old 39.2mm Railmaster off the market and keep it, I began trying to take some real close up photos of it without getting all the reflection off the domed sapphire crystal. Well, while doing so this past Thursday, I noticed something on the right side of the minute hand. I took it out in direct sunlight to get a better look and got a pinpoint reflection off of the something. I then got my 10x loupe and sure enough there was some kind of debris or gunk on the right hand side of the hand (I think it was Luminova left on the side of the hand when they finished it off at the factory). I had never noticed it until then, but I knew that knowing that it's there was going to bug me.I live about 45 minutes away from the Omega Service Center in Los Angeles, but I had read so many negative things about Omega Service Centers on this forum (long waits, etc.) I was hesitant to take it in. However, I have two other Omegas plus my Rolex to wear so I figured I co
