The WIS Creed This is my watch. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My watch is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I master my life. My watch, without me, is useless. Without my watch, I am useless. I must care for my watch and it will take care of me. I must regulate my chronometer to maintain accuracy better than any other and will position it overnight to fall within -4 to +6 seconds of variation per day. We will be COSC certified before the sun rises. We will.My watch and myself know that what counts in this world is not what other people think, the price, the number of jewels, nor the statement it makes. We know that buying the watch that makes you happy is what counts. We are happy......My watch is awesome, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will love it as a brother. I will love its weakness, its strength, its display back, its complications, water resistance rating and its lume. I will keep my watch clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready.

Breguet Exhibition at the Louvre -Paris, France.
Greetings.Last weekend I popped into the Louvre to see a number of things but also the Breguet Exhibition.The Louvre is the largest museum in the world, your feet tell you this constantly as your wind your way through the labyrinth of works.I'm a novice watch collector but it was a priviledge to see these fine watches in such amazing condition - like new from the Quai De l'Horloge!One can imagine the innovation and technical excellence that the watches represented around 200 years ago. The workmanship and beauty is something to behold. For skeletal lovers I think the most impressive watch was the No.1160 minute repeating watch. In fact all of the works were fantastic - the appreciation of the balance between aesthetics and function...executed with the highest regard for quality. What to get for the wife?
Hi fellow trf hope everythings well. I have a question that needed some suggestions. I am thinking of getting my wife her first AP. She has been wearing rolex dj 27mm for the last 4 years while i have added several new rolex. She has very small wrist that she said she meassure only 4.5 inch.Are fellow AP lover here also getting the wife an AP? If so can you post your wife's AP? She has been interested in the royal oak line with diamond 33mm, but i do keep open sugesstion from fellow member here in fact she the one who asked me to post a thread looking for some suggestion. Was torn between blue Milgauss, Explorer and Sub NCI wanted a watch ¡®to wear¡¯ and possibly, but hopefully not, this may be the only Rolex I¡¯m able to afford.Decided on the no date - now to find one.Looked around, went on lists - no joy.I didn¡¯t really want to go grey, wanted new with my name on the card, but it wasn¡¯t looking good.Found myself with work, in a hotel out of town. Googled any local ADs, turned out there was, literally around the corner - what did I have to lose?Went in, told my story and asked, if despite being from out of town, I could go onto their list for the Sub.He thought for a moment, and said ¡° You know, there¡¯s one coming on the delivery this afternoon - if you want to wait and can pay now, it¡¯s yours¡±OVER THE MOON!
