I thought I was going to grab a stellar new model from JLC that some horrible enabler who's screen name starts with "Scott" and ends with "D" showed me a picture of a last week:What a great looking watch! A few of us checked it out, and I was really thinking of putting a deposit on it since it's scheduled to be released in the summer. Even went to an AD to inquire about a pre-order. It looked like a winner at 39 mm and an ultra-thin model with a moonphase. It was really making me drool. ..then this popped up early one morning shortly after I fell in lust with the JLC:As a vintage ultra-thin collector, this is the one for me. It's a caliber 2120, used by AP, VC, and PP in their ultra thins since the mid 60's. Even better that it's in white gold since yellow gold dominated the period. I have watches because I want to wear them, and I am trying to get a watch to go with most sorts of scenarios and activities. I thought that I might turn this into a bit of a discussion with everyone to see where it takes us.2 and ONLY 2 answers to be provided: what watch you currently have in your collection that you would wear for that activity, and what watch you could reasonably expect to own at some stage (so I don't expect to see the Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon turn up too much!)So, my first scenario is this: what watch would you wear on an extended traveling trip, and by this I mean for over a week and to different places doing different things, not necessarily 5 star style accommodation with a safe in the room. The worst F..ing AP AD EVER!!!!!!
Hi Guys,I recently purchased a titanium Grey themes ROO on a bracelet. I had seen some pics of this watch on the forum with a rubber band. I was luck enough to find a WIS on this forum who sold me his brand new AP OEM rubber band with a titanium buckle and 4 titanium plots. He told me that he checked with AP and they told him it would fit my watch.I went to my local AP AD and he told me that it would not work. I explained the above to him and he stated that the seller most likely lied to me but he would have his watch guy look at it. He stated that it was impossible to do but that he had bands and buckles that would work. It just happened that the next day I was going to be in Miami and I decided to see what the AP boutique in Bal Harbor would say. It took them about 10 minutes to instal the new band. I know not all AD's are like this but I will never ever buy anything from This guy again. He will lose a ton of business because of the shady way he operates.Sorry guys just needed to ven
