Oris 01 733 7653 4135-07 8 26 01PEB wrist watches news:
Ebay auction on now; item# 130511667351 is a Richmond. Everything looks right except all the hands are wrong (the minute hand also appears Rhodium plated) as well as the movement. It's a 982 Medallion serial# M20502 circa 1942 which does corroborate with the inscription on the back. The movement should correctly be a 982 serial# J prefix, as this model was only made through 1940. I'm a purist and when it comes to the rarer watches I'm not sure what to call this one, but certainly I'd think the value would be negatively effected. So what's your opinion, Franken or Mule?
Copy from General ForumSo being the lucky winner of a few straps from Crown & Buckle (and buying a couple more) I had to take on the serious task of measuring strap widths Fortunately, being in the steel bus., I have access to some neat tools Like this caliper Anyways, I measured each, wrote it on a post it and put it in the watch case for future reference. And yes, the straps from C&B, both nylon and leather, look and feel fantastic!
Just curious. How much do you typically spend on a new watch? For me it's around $500.00.Best Regards,Thomas Carey
I was wondering if the ROO see through cases at the back are after market or only certain models have them ?
Guys, never really looked at these before but they are growing on me. I have a few Nautilus, couple complications. Have a chance to pick up a Aquanaut, I hope if I do it gets wrist time, quite sure it will. Here is the question - Which is better - the 5167 or the 5167/1. Bracelet or Strap?Thx
