The Swiss watch brand JEANRICHARD has often been in the shadow of its better-known sister brand in the Sowind Group, Girard-Perregaux. However, with the introduction of three revamped collections ¡ª the classical 1681 Ronde and the sporty Highlands and Aquascope ¡ª the brand is making a move to establish its own distinct identity.The 1681 Ronde, described by JEANRICHARD as the most “elegant” and “traditional” of the three families, is named for the year in which the brand’s namesake, pioneering watchmaker Daniel JeanRichard, manufactured his first watch. Oris RAID Chronograph Limited Edition Watch
Have it known that the US side of Oris's operation is comprised of some very lovely, helpful people. While I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked with them at Baselworld 2010, I will be spending more time with their watch collection in June. I was able to get shots of a very cool limited edition piece - the Oris RAID Chronograph. RAID is a rally race of vintage cars. It now takes place in Switzerland and France, and only includes automobiles made before 1975. If you want to learn more about it, just Google it.This should explain the styling of the RAID Chronograph watch. It looks quire retro and reminds us of when cars had really swoopy roofs. Specifically, the dial is influenced by the tachometer of a 1952 Jaguar XK 120 - that has the redline area reversed. Use of this concept adds that always welcome splash of red to the dial. I think i've decided on my favourite Rolex!
Hi everyone, after a lot of thought recently, i have reached the conclusion that my favourite watch of my current collection ( Sub non-date, GMTII, Sea-Dweller, Air-King) is....................the Air-King.I have always loved this model, even more now than when i purchased it in June 2007. I never thought i would see the day that i would place the AK above my SD, certainly never above my beloved Sub non-date!But there you go. I derive enormous pleasure from wearing it, and i reckon if i had to reduce my collection to 1 piece, the AK would be it!

Question for BLNR owners with brushed center links
For those that ended up brushing the PCLs on the BLNR, where did you get it done? Will an AD do it, or would you need to find a trustworthy local jeweler?Thanks for any help y'all can provide.
