Oris 73576414361MB wrist watches news:
Last year Christophe Claret generated the biggest buzz at Baselworld with the DualTow, a wonder of the horological world created to mark the Manufacture’s 20th anniversary. For 2010, a new, black DualTow appears with the intriguing name NightEagle. If you look closely at the movement and squint, you can see a tiny, polished sign that reads “Genius at work.” Though his name may not be familiar to any but knowledgeable enthusiasts, Christophe Claret’s workshop is where many of the most complicated movements that rest behind more famous dials are designed and created. The Claret Manufacture is indisputably one of the most innovative and skillful in the watch industry. In simple terms, the DualTow NightEagle is a single-pusher planetary-gear chronograph with striking mechanism and tourbillon. Beyond that, it is endowed with several inventions, including one that bears a patent. It is a distillation of the experience, expertise and watchmaking mastery acquired over th
Consulting firm L2 Think Tank out of New York City just released a video supplement to their 2012 Watches & Jewelry report as part of their Digital IQ Index series. I don't know much about L2 yet, but their research seems to be along the same vein as that from the Digital Luxury Group (DLG) with their World Watch Report series (that I am a contributor for). Companies like L2 and DLG are primarily research and consulting firms which profit by providing advice and data to brands. They aren't involved in marketing or PR, so videos of this nature don't come with inherent bias.L2 members (likely meaning their "clients") have access to the full report, which I would rather like to see. The report seems to do two things. It first measures the "Digital IQ" of the 47 watch and jewelry brands included in the research. Next, it offers predictions and advice on digital commerce and marketing best practices as well as quantifiable predictions for the future. It is quite professional and I appre
Hey guys ! ! !When we were at the NAWCC Indiana Regional last month I bought this watch for only $150.00 ! ! ! ! ! YES, ONLY $150.00 ! ! ! ! ! ! This is NOT a typo ! ! ! ! !It's a 1924 Tiffany & Company Longines with a SWEEP SECOND HAND ! ! ! ! Having a SWEEP SECOND hand back in 1924 is EXTREMELY RARE ! ! ! ! !The sterling silver case serial number and the movement serial numbers are MATCHING ! ! ! !ALL ORIGINAL ! ! ! ! ! Also VERY rare for these numbers to be matching in 1924 ! ! ! !Our friend Adam contacted Longines and they said that it was originally invoiced on February 28, 1924 and that it has the 11.62 calibre movement.Anyway, I sold this watch for $400.00 in it's broken, non-running condition.I was COMPLETELY unaware that it was missing the clutch lever spring, so I refunded his money.I was also unaware how RARE this watch was when I sold it, found out afterwords and regretted the sale.VERY GLAD that I got it back and I could not refund his money fast enough ! ! ! ! !I con
hi guys,This is my first post. I just recently bought an x-wind from an AD here in the Philippines, the black dial with the 2 silver sub dials with a rubber strap and I have a question. The reference number on the warranty booklet is H77616133. From the hamilton website, this model should have a steel bracelet. But, the watch I received has a rubber strap with the red stitching. With this type of dial, the rubber strap should have the white stitching. The model number of the watch with the red stitching is H77646833. I asked the AD about this and they said that they received the watch this way direct from the supplier. It seems to me that the strap has been replaced with the wrong one. This dial-strap combination does not exist in the hamilton website. Does anyone here have the same experience? The watch shop is an AD for many brands such as rolex, tag, longines and oris. It is one of the biggest watch stores in the country. My question is how can I have this corrected? What are my opti
I was hoping the members could help me out. I am considering a new watch purchase. Under 4K - New or used. I already have a Breitling (Bently 6.75), Rolex (GMT II & DJ), Omega (Seamaster), Chronoswiss (Lunar Triple), Panerai (PAM 111). Everything is in SS. My thoughts were Cartier, Baume & Mercier, Zenith, Bell. Anyone have any other thoughts. Links would be appreciated. Are there any up and coming brands that are well built and possess a good value? I was leaning towards a rectangular face since everything I have is round.
