Christie’s December 14 sale to be held at 20 Rockafeller Plaza in New York includes 424 lots, and the stars of the show in terms of pre-sale estimates are Patek Philippe, Breguet, and Piaget. Three pieces are estimated at $250,000 to $350,000: Patek Philippe references 2499/100 and 1462, and a platinum Breguet ref. 3857. A Piaget ladies Kanthara is estimated at $200,000 – $300,000. Lot 198 is a Patek Philippe ref. 2499/100, manufactured in 1982. This 18K gold perpetual calendar chronograph with moon phases succeeded Patek’s first series-production perpetual calendar, the ref. 1518. Only 349 examples of ref. 2499 were manufactured over four different series. The reference remained in production until 1985. Khaki Field Auto Bracelet/Strap Question
Someone told me a few years back that Hamilton Khaki Field Cases are different between models that came with a metal bracelet vs. one that came with a leather strap (which means you cannot fit a bracelet on a watch that originally came with a strap). I was wondering if that was still true.I have a 42mm Khaki Field Auto (H70555533) that came with a strap and was wondering if the bracelet from a similar model (H70515137) will fit my watch.

here it goes..Input needed from fellow forumers. I'm thinking of getting back into the AP fold, through the 15400ST( still can't decide which coloured dial). But in order to do that, I would need to let go of a couple of watches from the current collection.As it stands, I have 2 PAM, 372 and 292, and a rolex GMTIIC in my small collection.I was thinking of letting go of the 292, and the GMTIIC for a direct trade, or a little top up from myself.what would you do? quantity over quality or vice versa?thanks
