- I suppose my first clue this watch would be a blem is that it came with a manual almost an inch thick. Regardless, I bought this watch primarily for its altimeter. I was attracted to it b/c it uses a solar cell (no battery changes and recalibration every coupel years), and the Atomic time synching.
Unfortunately, the altimeter has never worked perly. At about 10,000 feet, it simply bugs out. Casio customer service could not figure it out, and now my watch is gone for the summer, having been returned to Casio for them to try to figure out the blem and repair it.

Need Some Help Identifying This Watch
Hello Everyone, new guy here and i need some help identifying this watch I found today. I can not seem to find any information online about it or about the maker. The only thing it says is OLYMPIC on the face. Its a 17 jewel automatic Swiss movement and works quite well. The movement is also labeled Olympic Watch Co. The band is not original (I put it there). Where have I been?
Several have noticed my absence from the forum and asked where I have been.Well, I have been around albeit rather infrequently. A year or so ago, we bought a home with our oldest daughter which has turned into a major renovation project that my wife calls the money pit.We are still living in a construction zone but the move has allowed me to return to my original hobby, ham radio. Financing the acquisition of the equipment necessary to get back on the air has required the liquidation of most of my watch collection. I once said that my 300 Master Coaxial could easily be my one and only and that has almost become a reality. it and my Speamaster are my last two Omegas and the Speamaster is about to go on the block.For those hams in the group, as soon as my antennae go up with warmer weather, look for me on the HF bands. In the meantime, try connecting to K4YK on D-star.But of course, I'll be at the Spring ATL GTG on the last Saturday in April.
