Oris 677-7603-4084LS wrist watches news:
Hello, 007. Today we’re going to take a look at what I’ve always assumed is another one of the worst-kept secrets in modern watchmaking: the Seiko Diver, model number SKX007. It’s probably the single best value at any price point, in an automatic watch that fits all the criteria of the infamous ISO 6425, which specifies the criteria for a watch to be able to call itself a diver’s watch (at least, in ISO member nations). Yes, it fits both the letter and the spirit of the law, but as with another worst-kept secret from Seiko – the incredible Seiko 5, which we looked at not long ago in our story “A $75 Watch That Looks Like A Million Bucks” – it ultimately manages to be so appealing on its own merits that the almost incredulity-inducing price is the least important aspect of the watch. 1 OF 8 The SKX007 may have a humble price but it is part of a proud lineage of diver’s watches that goes all the way back to 1965, when Se
Manufacture Royale is relatively new to the scene of independent watchmakers, having begun operation in 2010. Since then, the brand has positioned itself in the relatively crowded space?by offering a number of models with brash aesthetics and, notably, beautifully?designed in-house movements. One of these models, the Androgyne, distinctly symbolizes?the brand's unusual design ethos and commitment to technical dexterity.Undoubtedly, the case is the first thing you'll notice about the Androgyne. It is, shall we say, rather uniquely designed?with 52?components in total, including a system of multi-part articulated lugs that are intended to conform to various?wrist sizes. Seen here in PVD-coated, gunmetal-finish stainless steel, the 43 mm case is anything but discreet. But in all honestly, I doubt that discretion is of?paramount concern to anyone interested in this watch ¨C the Androgyne is meant to be worn and to be seen. 2 OF 11 The unabashedly-designed cases could well be d
......ordinarily, I can't afford Lonignes, but this one slipped into my hands for a ridiculous price, cause there's no crown ......and that's what my excellent watch guy Jerry is so very good for ......probably need to get it running too....anyway, I was having trouble with the settings on my camera today, took them in a hurry before they were to the hospital ......and like a dummy I forgot to get a single one of this watch ...so it's from a group shot and blow up way too far ....the dial is pretty good, there are age spots but they;re very small, and evenly scattered around the dial ...you have to either have very good eyes, or use a loupe to even notice them ......that being said ....is the photo good enough to give any info to you Longines experts..??? and when I get it back......I'll take some good photos .....er....I hope anyway
My wife and I were in Dixon IL yesterday. I knew Venier Jewelers History | Venier Jewelers had been there since the mid-1940s, but I'd never been in. I remembered I needed a couple spring bars for my slinky Vulcain, so in we went. While at the counter the owner noticed the Mido Powerwind with the JB Champion NASA-Stainless band (yes, I have a band worth more than the watch it's on) I was wearing and told me his father had been a Mido dealer when he was growing up. He asked if I'd ever met Mido Man and produced this handsome guy below from behind a window display. As a side note, it was great to still see a full service jewelry store in a town of 15,000 with skilled people inside. They still offer in house service on nearly all watches other than Accutrons from a 400+ square foot, fully visible service area at the back of the store.
Hi guys, new member here!A few days ago I bought my first Oris, a 51mm prodiver chrono. After searching online and calling oris service too, I got advice to forget removing the rubber ring of my prodiver bezel. Everyone said there is a hole and screws underneath and it would look bad. Guess what?I did. I carefully removed the rubber. And I love the result. There is a steel ring attached to the bezel with screws that still helps you to lift the bezel. I guess it will look cool even if you remove that ring as well (as the screw holes are really tiny), but will keep it on for now.The only thing that I hated on this watch was the rubber. Now I love everything on it. Thanks for looking BEFOREAFTERBEFOREAFTER
