Oris 775-7686-4084SET wrist watches news:
Hello watch enthusiasts, just got my first mechanical watch as a wedding gift from my wife (that still sounds strange). It appears that she definitely listens to me since she got the exact one I've wanted for years now:IMG_20120511_083947.jpgOne stupid question about setting the time: is there a trick to get the minute hand to line up with a minute marker exactly when the second hand hits 60? I've been waiting for the second hand to hit 60, stopping the watch and adjusting the time but I find it difficult to get it exactly matched up. I realize this is probably a bit OCD but hey, why not. Thanks for any input.Martin

Got this watch at an estate sale today, it's no Hamilton but 21 jewels ain't bad and it was a good price IMO (1$).It does run, it needs a new strap and the crystal is plastic but I think it's a smart looking watch, I like the gold face. So, what do ya'll think?
Hi Guys,I recently picked up a 2254.50 here on the forum and wanted to see some of your pictures of different straps options for summer. I love the PO style rubber but wanted to see pictures of other straps members may have and love. Thanks in advance
Woke up yesterday, my 4 month old Patek 5905 had stopped. Was wearing it the day before so that was odd. The watch i Think has a 72 hour power reserve. However the stopwatch was running so I thought I must have accidentally started the Chrono24 and left it running overnight which drained the power.Wore it again yesterday with no chrono- everything fine all day. This morning- stopped again.Looks like I'm gonna be sending it in to the AD. Pisser as I now have to sit and wait likely months to get the watch back. Maybe they will give me a 5524 as compensation for my troubles. 😊 :)
