Patek Philippe 3285/23 wrist watches news:
My Omega chronostop keeps time like a chronometer. It thinks it is a chronometer but it it isn't. I think I'll have a talk with that watch and tell it to behave itself.Art KramerWW II Bombardier
Hey all, I was recently offered a 17 jewel, rice banded seiko watch. The seller knows nothing about it though. A picture is attached. I was wondering if it was waterproof or only water resistant? and if it is automatic-quartz or just plain automatic? Also how much it would be worth, thanks a lot.
I have a new Speedmaster Pro and it seems to be running fast, approx 40 sec over 16 hours or so.In addition, the minute hand changes/ advances when the sweep seconds hand is on the 30 second mark instead of 60 second mark.Is this correct? What is the expected accuracy of this watch? What is the best way to determine accuracy?Any help will be appreciated.Thank you
Was looking at purchasing this limited edition watch... trying to warm up to the eagle medallion that has been added to the dial? Anyone else have this? Would love to hear your opinion about this vs. the classic dial face. THXJust to clarify... referring to the Apollo 11 40th Anniversary... THX
From what I have read, Oysterquartz production ended around 2001 or about seventeen years ago. While the movement has a lot of mechanical parts that are common with other movements, the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) is unique to this series of timepieces. In addition, European requirements since 2001 drove changes to eliminate lead in the environment, so there is some question about the availability of the PCBA going forward.Has Rolex provided any information on how long spare PCBAs will be available? Can the PCBA be replaced by anyone outside of the RSC? In other words, can a watchmaker with a Rolex parts account order the PCBA? I am considering purchasing one, but I want to have a watch that keeps time, not something that shows the correct time twice per day.
