Panerai PAM00372 wrist watches news:
F.P. Journe is one of the few modern watch manufactures that many serious collectors have any love for. Their watches are thoughtful, beautiful, wearable, and rare. Don't believe me, read this. That said, Journe watches have never exactly been auction house darlings – with modern pieces typically selling for a fraction of their current retail prices. That, of course, is no way to measure the success of a watch, but resale value is something that many collectors simply can't ignore – if you put money into something, you want to know you can get money out of it. This week, however, a few F.P. Journe pieces sold at auction well above what one might expect, and we are beginning to see that like special pieces from Lange, special Journe watches can also do quite well on the public market. A Unique Tourbillon Souverain Sells For 650,000 CHF 1 OF 7 The first watch we will examine sold Tuesday night in a charity auction benefiting Action Innocence. This
Hello new watch collectors. I am new as well and I'm hoping to get some good info here, as well as offer some. Have already posted several threads and pictures in the Invicta forum, most of my collection is Invicta. I also have a Swiss Legend and a Casio. I am one of those poor watch collectors so I look for the great deals on new watches. Any ideas and suggestions are greatly appreicated. I hope everyone has a happy healthy new year!!!
Well I have come across some nice left handed watches that are extremely appealing, here's my question can I wear a left handed watch on my right hand? I wear all my watches on my right hand, or am I beaking some hidden "watch rule"?
So I scratched the heck out of the underside of the lugs on my favorite watch.Half full: Since it's the underside you can't see it when worn.Three quarters full: If I ever decide to sell it in a moment of weakness, I'll have to fully disclose the scratches, and I probably won't get an offer that is good enough to make me sell it.So, to summarize, my favorite watch now has scratches that will prevent me from selling it, but that don't detract from it when worn. The watch? My Oris Dizzy Gillespie.I have never had such trouble with a strap change - this is the first time I've scratched lugs, and boy did I do a good job of it!
just curious as to what some of you think.
