Panerai pam00252 wrist watches news:
It was only a few months ago that we went hands-on with Urwerk's amazing EMC watch?and discovered its unique electro-mechanical venture into?horology. Now, the brand has announced a new PVD coated version of the Urwerk EMC, dressing up this beast of a watch in a stealthy, matte black color. Now, where the Urwerk EMC watch stood out was that it mixed mechanical timekeeping with a digital accuracy checking device that would allow the wearer of the watch to check?the accuracy of the watch at any given moment, without having to connect the timepiece to an external machine or any other apparatus. It was called the?"Electro Mechanic Control," and it certainly remains the key feature of the Urwerk EMC Black. That sounds complicated enough, and despite the hugely impressive achievements in miniaturization, the UR-EMC movement still requires substantial space. You see, while?the so-called?large watch trend of late?certainly brought along the ¨C oftentimes?rightful ¨C criticisms of watch enthusiast
We've discussed Xetum watches a couple of times before on worn&wound. First, with a look at their all black Tyndall, and then with a more in-depth hands-on of their Stinson model. Xetum's watches are intriguing pieces, with a distinct design that has managed to keep them fresh looking, although they have not come out with many new models. Well¡ now we have the pleasure of introducing you to their newest watch, the Kendrick.Case: Stainless SteelMovement: ETA 2824-2Dial: WhiteLume: YesLens: SapphireStrap: Nylon NATOWater Res.: 100MDimensions: 40mmThickness: 11mmLug Width: 20mmWarranty: 30 day return / 2 year movementPrice: $995The Kendrick is a new model by way of a redesigned dial and different strap options that combine for a very different aesthetic. If I were to summarize the look of Xetum's other two models, the Stinson and Tyndall, I would say they are clean, elegant and conservative. They have clear military inspirations and go for a highly legible index design. The Kendrick c
I guess I'm looking for opinions on what to do, and to find out if this is something that can be fixed easily by a decent watchmaker. My new Oris Classic Date seems to have a slightly bent second hand. I would post photos, but it's hard enough to see in person, let alone to catch it in a photo. I didn't notice it at first because it isn't bent side to side, rather up and down. In other words, if you look straight down at the watch dial you can't tell it's bent, but if you look at it at an angle you can see it, mostly because of the way light reflects off of it.I sent an email to the source I purchased it from, but I don't know if they will help since I've already had the bracelet sized, and it picked up a scratch or two on the edge of the bracelet near the clasp during the sizing. So, could a decent watchmaker either "unbend" it, or would a replacement second hand be readily available and affordable?Lastly, am I being overly picky since it is very difficult to notice, and I didn't eve
Just bought and received a Breitling Old Navitimer II D13022 model today. The watch for its age looks real nice. It came with a black leather Breitling buckle band. When I tired to use the Chronograph feature the second hand would only go around almost once and stop just before the 12 o'clock position. A lite tap on my palm and it would continue around again to almost the 12 o'clock position and then stop. All the time this was happening over the course of about 15 minutes the 12 and 6 o'clock dial never advanced at all. Obviously bummed out like nobody's business. I contacted the company I bought it from and they emailed me a shipping label and back it went today. They told me there watchmaker will look at it ASAP and hopefully I will have it back on Thursday. Not bad service and the sales guy told me it may have been damaged in shipping is the only thing they can assume.I guess anything can happen but it was packaged well with no evidence of damage to the box. Anyway while I wait an
Guys, need your much appreciated help with pics.I am looking into buying a discontinued PO model: seamaster/planet-ocean/29015182. 42mm, orange numbers, black bezel and rubber strap.I have been reading/searching all known forums and I know it comes down to personal preference and I kinda like the 42mm size with the 2500 movement, less thick. So I would appreciate if you could post pics, wrist shots and personal experiences.Thank you.
