Panerai PAM00193 | PAM193 wrist watches news:
Squale came to Basel this year ready to impress. If you're not familiar with the brand, I recommend you check out our review of their Ref 2002 watch. If the look alone of that watch doesn't tell you this brand is different than others, then their rich history will. Squale is one of those brands that everyone ought to know, as they were pioneers in dive watch case manufacturing in the 50's, 60's and 70's, and now continue to make beautiful, original Swiss-made divers, at very accessible prices. The first thing they showed us is a new family of watches, based on a line from the 60's called the Master. These 600m divers have 44mm cases, power reserves, 12 o'clock dates and a cool vintage style. The bezels have to be seen in person to be truly appreciated, but they are made in an anachronistic fashion for a gorgeous outcome. They are essentially bakelite bezels with dimensional steel inlays on top. This is then all sealed in with acrylic (presumably) to create a flat top surface. As with th
Hi all,I was wondering if you could spare some of your expertise. I'm trying to identify the age of this watch. It reads 'Geneva watch case co' in the inside. Nothing written on the face, apart from the usual 'Swiss made'.I guess the easiest way is to compare the features with other watches on the net which have been identified to an age?By the looks of things,I'm guessing it is early 20s. Maybe a tad older? My reasoning:-I found it cleaning out my Grandad's place. He is 86. From my discussion with him, it might have been his dads (his recollection isn't the greatest). This would place it within that time period.- numbers on face are painted. Yellowed. Similar to the look of radium dials. (Maybe it has been painted with radium?)- lug pins are part of the case.- the decoration on the movement.- A single search in google about the 'geneve watchcase co'. It is in a foreign language, but it details the stamp logo of the company and a time period of 1915, which I assume is est. time of the gr
I am looking to purchase an Omega Seamaster 300M AUTOMATIC GMT 2234.50.00. However, the watch seems to have been discontinued. Does anyone know about how much I can expect to pay for such a watch and where I can purchase one? Thanks
Love the look but am having a hard time justifying 10k for an eta movement watch.
Just got the call from my AD that my time on the waitlist is over! I've wanted the BLNR for a while (read 2 years) but never really could decide if it would get the wrist time it deserved. I usually wear AP's, or a YG DD40, but I feel like the BLNR will be an awesome everyday watch that will still feel like I'm wearing a special piece but may be a bit more under the radar then the aforementioned watches. Anyway, just wanted to share my enthusiasm with you guys and get an idea if anybody else chooses to wear a SS sports watch over a precious metal Rolex or other higher priced watch...I am hoping it doesn't disappoint!!
