The Bonus Gods will smile on me at the end of the month, as they did when I bought my Oris. For various reasons, this will likely be, however, the last time they smile so.So I want to buy a watch that will keep me happy for a long time, as I likely won't spring for a watch that's over $500.00 for some time.I've had my eye on a number of fine pieces and, I swear, this is as far down as I can narrow the choices. So, if you'd all be so kind, tell me which you would go for, and why.The Omega Planet Ocean:The Sinn 303 Silber Ty:The Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Classic:The Oris Carlos Coste:The Rolex GMT Master II:Ordinarily, I'd keep my "pain threshold" to about $2,500.00. However, given that this is likely the last time I'll be spending more than a few hundred dollars for the foreseeable future, I'm going to allow myself to ignore that.I really like all of these watches. A lot.So, which would you go for, and why?
I bought this watch as a gift for a friend. Sorry didn't have time for photos. But the fit and finish was amazing. It's a very, very nice timepiece at a $200 price. If I could get another, I'd add one to my collection. I was most impressed. Great bracelet and case work. This is the third Philip I've seen in person. 1) My Yeros automatic is great. 2) the solid gold automatic I returned. So I'd rate the brand 2 hits and one miss.Philip Men's Admiral Chronograph Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch Style: Navy dial, silver-tone bracelet This watch is designed with a round stainless steel case with a unidirectional rotating stainless steel bezel. So I know a store that is selling the ever so popular daytona ceramic with the white face... It is pre owned but looks like new. Comes with box and card... They are asking 17k out the door...My dilemma... I'm not rich and I do have a sub ceramic but I want one more watch and that will be the daytona... The M.S.R.P is 12,500 plus tax at the AD, but obviously good luck getting one... So do you guys think in the next 5 to 10 years or so it will go back to normal and we will be able to buy one at the AD for M.S.R.P prices or you think it will even eventually be 17k or more at the AD and I should get it? I really don't want to over pay and this is not for an investment it is for me to wear the rest of my life but if ever god forbid I need to sell I don't want to lose especially in the thousands... Or get a two tone zenith daytona for 10k...
Having a hard time deciding which one to choose. I've always liked both and feel like AP is much more polished/refined, but Rolex would probably be better for daily wear and more reliable.Opinions please? Both are around the same price.
