Panerai pam00268 wrist watches news:
Hi all,I have a theory I'd like to try out on you. The GMTIIC and the classic GMTII are not the same watch and were never intended to be.GMTII lovers criticize the GMTIIC because in their view, it is a "flashy" watch, and now with the recent "dropped watch" thread, there will be more points of criticism. But what if Rolex never intended the IIc to be the "go anywhere, do anything" sort of watch that its predecessor was? What if they wanted it to be an upscale businessman's watch. Makes sense right? Businessmen travel, and thus would need the GMT function. If you are in a business suit you certainly aren't going to be participating in sports activities that could damage the watch.Make no mistake, the IIc is a great watch, and has many of the improvements enthusiasts have been calling for, but it is just a different watch than we are used to.In contrast, the GMTII, classic tool watch. Adventurer, traveler's watch. Tough as nails too. 904L steel and and aluminum insert (cheap to replace!)
I have a Longines Gold Plated or Filled watch. It is a quartz 5 jewel movement L961.2. The watch case measures approximately 1 1/8" long and 1.1" wide(includes crown). The band matches the watch and is original with the longines logo on the clasp. The serial number on the movement is 57204123. The serial number on the watch face and inside of the stainless steel black cover is CHT 1937-MO961. The watch face is set with 12 round diamonds. The watch came out of an estate a while back, doesn't look like it was ever worn. Need to know: Is it a Ladies or Man's Watch(its hard for me to tell due to the size)? & would like some more info on the watch, the year of production, and possible value as I am considering selling it.Thank You and any help is very appreciated!!Pictures:imgur: the simple image sharer
This watch has one of the sweetest dials I have ever seen
I took Mascot around the city tonight, and he made some friends. A nice group of people were in colonial garb and I got a good shot of Mascot on one woman's wrist. She got a kick out of the whole premise of sending a watch to every corner of the globe. He also met an incredibly gorgeous redhead in a little black dress who was gracious enough to allow a few shots, but sadly the photos did not come out as it was much too dark at the time ....and bonehead (that would be me) did not have the flash on. We'll get to the sights like the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and some other landmarks tomorrow. For tonight I thought it would be appropriate to show some fireworks! Campbell's Field in Camden never disappoints. While searching for the perfect spot, I figured I better get one of the flag:(I had no idea how poor my pocket camera was at capturing motion)Anyway, I decided since security was concerned about the fans on the field, it was worth a try to get a spot that had a vi
