Parnis, Anyone ?
From what I have observed in this (and other) watch forums, Parnis brand watches have been steadily gaining in popularity. The purpose of this particular thread is to provide a consolidated location where we can discuss present and possible future Parnis purchases.Below are a couple of stock pics of my first two Parnis watches that I received recently. I would describe the fit and finish of the various external parts of these particular watches as excellent. So far, timekeeping is "right on the money" the seconds hands do hack.In the last couple of weeks, I have bought another Parnis watch (and more may follow).FYI: The lume is good, but not nearly up to the standards of many Seikos and Citizens. IMO, it's as good as or a tad better than my Orients. The duration of the glow is mediocre; I have seen a lot worse.I'll provide my personal pictures very soon.

VC Overseas Chrono vs AP Royal Oak Chrono- My specific issues
I purchased a 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Chrono (AP 26470) just after the revised model clear case back and movement visualization. I really like the watch. I am a big chrono fan even though I do not use the chrono function all that often.. Well I decided i wanted a nice thin-- sport like chrono and I already owned the IWC 3777 pilot. I ended up getting a VC Overseas Chrono not too long ago. I like the general appearance and design of the pushers--- and it has a fairly decent water resistance rating. I would never likely purposely take it into a pool or other major water source. I had considered a Royal Oak Chronograph (AP 26320) instead of the VC but thought perhaps it would be too similar to my ROO Chrono. Nonetheless I was at a shop the other day and say a few of the Royal Oak Chronos in person (had seen them before) and said wow I forgot the contrast and clarity of the dial and sub dials on this model. Hi. I am sitting by the phone waiting for the call from my AD to tell me my new Speedy Co-axial Chronogrph has finally arrived. Has any one here had theirs arrive yet ? I am so looking forward to seeing and owning this watch as I purchased it really from just a photograph. Bit nervious though now waiting ......

After going through the Panerai website this afternoon, I see more of a mix of 40, 42, 44, 45 and 47mm watches that we have seen in the past.True, there have always been the 40mm (Pam 48-50), the 42mm (Pam 98 and 141), 44mm of course, Radiomirs in 45mm and the big Luminor cases.....but I see a few 42mm with the Radiomir 1940 case....and I think there was also a white dialed/date that stood out to me.Is this the start of a trend for Panerai?Elliot

So i just asked a value question about a Daytona and it was deleted. After reading the rules I understand why. My apologies. Let me try this a different way. After researching a daytona ceramic SS I see the asking prices are a good bit above MSRP, my question is are these asking prices realistic to what they are actually SELLING for?Thanks!
