The Maratac Pilot
It is very difficult for a pilot watch to stand out amongst its peers. It seems like every company that pops up, big and small, makes one. Many are very nice and many are very generic, but few jump out and say to you "make me a part of your collection". The Maratac Pilot is one of these few watches. check out our full review of the large model (seen in this post) here and the 39mm mid sized here?At first glance, it might not seem that different: a big steel case, big bold lumed index and a small seconds dial at 6�� This scene has obviously been played out before. The differences that make the Maratac unique are subtler. The index around the small seconds dial has a distinct layout and the font used on the main index is a little squarer than most. The off-axis "onion" screw-down crown is large and nestles against the lug in an interesting manner. Rolex makes most every one of their watches SO appealing in their ads. I rarely see an ad and don't think "I gots to get me one of them there Rolexes". Rolex hunt in nyc...
Went to NYC today to shop and sight see with the lady and my mission was to find a ss sub...hahaI went to every darn shop I could find and not one ss sub in the bunch and I really have to thank those of you that encouraged me to try local and not wait for my trip to the city because I would have been very disappointed. So because I took the advice of some of you I was able to get my watch a week early and make the trip with it and I was able to get my pics under the tree too... and to top it all off I got my nyc watch buying experience also I ended up buying my brother in law a Longines Hydro Conquest at wempe, that store sure treats it's customers right, we got espresso and chocolate while we waited they gift wrapped it and the whole experience was just great.Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
