Hey guys,Have been surfing the forum for a couple of weeks, so thought it was time I registered and said hello.I'm a long time Omega fan but only currently own a Seamaster Professional 300m (quartz, mid-size, since 2000). I believe the form is to include pics when mentioning watches you already own, so those will follow shortly - promise!I'm currently considering buying a Speedmaster Professional and have located what looks like a decent 2nd hand deal - April '09 watch (so still well under Omega guarantee), A+ condition, reputable 2nd hand seller.Just wanted to know whether the unbelievably knowledgeable Omega community on here felt ¡ê1650 was good price for said watch?Any advice would be greatly appreciated - and thanks for having me on your fantastic forum.O_M

New Arrival: Elgn Garfield
Just finished putting the finishing touches on the Garfield. Looks to be a mid-50s watch. Not only did it get a new crystal, I found a NOS dial. It doesn't have the original band, but I put it on a period Hadley I had laying around.Looks like I need NOS fingers as well

CH says no one comes into his shop, so knock knock Which type of watch crystals can be polished ?I brought a watch to a shop a couple of weeks ago and he said it could not be polished because it would get too hot on the polishing wheel. So that means that there must be different types, my question is which types can be polished and is there a way to tell which type is on your watch. Also if the crystal cannot be polished and needs replacement is it better to then choose one that can be polished ? I am assuming there is a price difference between the different types, at what point would you choose the non polish type because of the value of the watch.

It has been officially confirmed that the blue 15300 is a danger to driving and completely distracting. Different shades of lighting creates a different hue of blue on the dial and almost vintage like given the charcoal blue backdrop. Truly mesmerizing..

Moon to Mars Watch
Omega used to make a speedmaster with representations of the earth, moon and mars on the chrono dials. It does not appear to be on the website. It is a striking watch, but I never hear it mentioned on this forum or elsewhere. Anyone have any opinions or thoughts on this model?
