IWC pilot Top Gun chrono Daily use?
Hey all, Id have to say I am fairly new to the world of luxury watches as I happened to get my first real nice watch about one year ago, a brand new SS rolex submariner. I have enjoyed that watch and I wore it daily for the last year or so.This year I purchased about the only other watch out there that could get me to spend over 2000$ on a timepiece (so far)...A model 3789.01 IWC pilot single chrono (44MM) TOPGUN ed. I happen to think this watch is absolutely awesome looking and love that it has a relatively subdued look...not too big...not too small...flat black etc. (Yes i am obsessed with the movie as well). My question is...Will i have any problems with wearing this watch daily or every other day? I've read mixed things about wearing the black ceramic daily...scratching problems with the glare resistant coating, scratches on the ceramic...etc. Someone even told me to get the glare resistant coating buffed off if i want to wear it daily (not sure if this is BS).Any tips? and or conc

some help with my antique swiss 'Hunter'
Afternoon, gents;I am currently doing a little research into some of my grandfathers' war memorabilia, and amongst those things were his pocket watch. I have been told the story of this watch by my grandmother, but I have no idea how to verify this information!The watch has NO makers mark or identification, simply 'BREGUET + 31328' (the 'plus' being the swiss symbol) on the movement, and the dial, too, has no mark.I wondered if anyone knew whom might have been the maker of this watch, or any insight at all into a similar one someone might be aware of?Any information or help would be most appreciated,Many thanks

Incoming Wifes first!!!!!
Bought my wife a 114200 this week. Her first Rolex!!When I almost had to pry my DJ 36mm from my wife¡¯s arm 2 months ago while her Tag was in for a battery I figured well that makes this years gift easy for me!! In her eyes all these years I¡¯ve been wearing ¡°silly watches¡± or ¡°they just tell time¡±!!!Funny how once you wear one for a while you don¡¯t want to let it go!!I got her the 34mm since she likes the bigger watch but with her tiny wrists my 36mm did look a little big. I hope she enjoys hers as much as I enjoy mine! Wrist shot to follow on the morning of the 25th!!!
