Patek Philippe 5120/1G-001 wrist watches news:
If you are looking for a good priced, well mannered, and large sized pilot style watch, this just might be the piece for you. Archimede released their next Pilot automatic watch with the Pilot XL Automatik. The watch takes everything you like about the traditional simple Pilot watch look and ups the size from 39mm or 42mm to 45mm. The crown itself is 8mm thick. This is actually a good size making for a decidedly large watch that I would NOT describe as being silly big. "That giant watch looks ridiculous on your wrist!" .is not a statement this watch will attract. The Archimede Pilot XL is housed in a steel case (made by Ickler) with a brushed finish, and the sapphire crystal has a double AR coating - so it is quite easy to view and won't really have glare. The dial is simple with high contrasting numerals and blued hands coated with lots of lume. It is a classic looking and highly functional watch face. Inside the watch is an ETA 2824-2 movement which is visible through the mineral glas
In my decission of not replacing my Rolex Sub 16610 with another Rolex, I was looking at the Broad Arrows, and I want to have the black 3551.50 again (I had one for some weeks, but was malfunctioning and was returned and not replaced...)So, I was looking at the options, and these are:1. Speedmaster Broad Arrow 3551.50 with 3303 caliberOMEGA Watches: Speedmaster Broad Arrow - Steel on steel - 3551.50.002. Speedmaster Broad Arrow 321.10.42.50.01.001 with 3313 CoAxial caliberOMEGA Watches: Speedmaster Broad Arrow - Steel on steel - 321.10.42.50.01.001The price difference is $750, higher in number twobut I like more the all black dial of the first one...Of course the first one is not a current model, but still can be found brand newWhat will you do?
If anyone happens to notice the new Time magazine Special Issue titled Special Ops, I highly recommend purchasing it if the subject interests you. While flipping through it at the checkout today the chapter that really held my attention focused on Delta Force or 1st SFOD-Delta. This unit has fascinated me more than other units in SO because of how they came to be, what they do and how they do it. Some of this is touched on in that chapter. Anyway what struck my eye was what Col. Charlie Beckwith, Delta Force founder, was wearing. In the following pictures it appears to be a Submariner on a strap. 1680 perhaps? The image is not clear and my camera macro feature shot the best it could. From a different angle. You can clearly observe the classic Sub dial with the 12:00 marker above a tiny dot (Rolex crown?), and text beneath the hands. The cyclops lens also stands out because it distorts the dial at 3:00 whereas the 9:00 marker is clearly visible. Note also the crown guards and bezel. That wa
To all who wish to be helpful:I am a watch newbie. There I said it. Phew! I got it out there. I am a college student with a low budget. I have had some nice watches given to me, but I can not where them. I am allergic to most metals. Here in lies the problem. My brother was in the United States Marine Corps and has the knowledge that I have a metal sensitivity. He purchased a Harris ceramic chronograph watch. Here is the watch I recieved. Now my issue is that I am a very modest man and the dial on the watch is somewhatgod-y. Since the watch was given to me by my brother and it is the only thing he has ever given me I would like to wear it.Now that you have my back story, I would like to know if there was any trusted places I could send the watch to replace the dial with a more modest dial? Or even if a watch repair center could do that?I hope someone can provide me with some assistance.THANKSMRL
Does anyone have any articles regarding to the 3126 choro movement for ROO?thank you so much
