Patek Philippe 3548 wrist watches news:
The watch maketh the man, not his clothes. At least, that’s our line of thinking at HODINKEE. But sartorial choices have come under scrutiny this week. After entertaining the idea that watches could in fact be worn with a tuxedo (shocker, right?), we take a look at a new collection of tailor-inspired and tailor-made watches from Vacheron Constantin. 1 OF 12 Capitalizing on the resurgence of style, as defined by men who shop exclusively on Saville Row and have Pitti Uomo saved in their calendar for the next ten years, Vacheron Constantin have teamed up with the world’s oldest fabric manufacturer, Vitale Barberis Canonico, for a sartorial debut of sorts. 2 OF 12 3 OF 12 Unveiled this morning in Paris, on the opening day of the Journées Européenes des Métiers d’Arts (JEMA), the "Elegance Sartorial” collection faithfully re-creates famous woven patterns such as the Prince of Wales check, using the maison&r
I know lots of you guys like this strap, so check out these wristshots. I think they came out pretty well.I finally got the strap on my watch this morning, and so far I like it a lot. It very comfortable and give the Speedy a TOTALLY different look than the bracelet. I make the watch look very sporty and a lot more modern. Enjoy the pics! And some off-the-wrist shots:
I could not believe this.Last Spring I purchased a Steelfish for about 35% off of retail at the official Breitling AD in the town where I grew up.This Saturday, I was back home and went into their store only to find out that the entire chain is going out of business after 175 years. All Omegas, Breitlings, Zeniths, Raymond Weil, Rado, Baume and Mercier, Tag were 20 % off. Some were 50% off.One store had the Chrono Avenger M1 with the blue countdown sailing timer and the Airwolf for 50% off. Even a solid gold chronomat evolution was marked down from 20K to 10K.A guess a sign of the tough economic times.Sort of Bittersweet.
This lovely Wilshire case has some brassing happening. My question is, does it hurt the value of the watch to have it replated? Does anyone have suggestions as to a good resource for finding a replacement case. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!
I'm thinking about trading my 44FC to an anthracite dial 44 Ceramic. I love the FC, but the anthracite dial and the beautiful finishing of the ceramic has me considering making a move. Has anyone made that switch and what are your thoughts. Any regrets?
