Patek Philippe 5712-1A wrist watches news:
This one isn't small, simple, or elegant like the 36 mm Pilots Watch or the new Mark XVIII from IWC this year, but it features a very cool complication. For the first time, one may now set the time zone on a multi-time zone wristwatch quickly, just by pressing and turning the bezel of this new Timezoner Chronograph. Some of this technology existed before in the form of the Vogard World Timer, but this takes things quite a few steps further.A little background: the ability to set the time on a world time watch by turning the bezel to the name of a reference city was originally developed by Michael Vogt, whose company, Vogard, showed the technology at Baselworld in 2014, after a decade long development process. His design was purchased and further developed by IWC and is now the full production Timezoner Chronograph. 1 OF 3 First off, the watch is a column-wheel chronograph, with the movement made in-house by IWC (caliber 89760). I was looking at some phots online of some NASA crews, and saw that they use the X-33 Speedmaster...Is this the current "official" astronaut watch? Is it beign under "private" production just for NASA?
Searched around but couldn't find a similar thread. So all you fortunate people with you platty AP's, show us some of your best pics!Just to be clear I am no way in a position to buy one of these in the near future, hopefully for my 50 I'll be able to treat my self to one! Good time to buy a watch in the UK if you're an overseas buyer. Prices are down 10+% thanks to Brexit. Well prices are not down but the GBP is down sufficiently to make this an attractive proposition! Anyone else thinking of a quick trip to the UK to buy a watch?Wonder if Patek ADs will immediately adjust prices overnight.
It's too good to be left unshared.Photos are taken in Bali, I haven't been there for around 10 years, but oh boy the new places are mind blowingEnjoy!
