Philip Stein 2FFAMOPLR wrist watches news:
OK, so I am giving serious thought to the new SS Submariner. But at the same time, I'm asking myself about next year's orange hand Explorer II (which can be seen in this video - Video - TinyPic - H).Now, let me preface this by saying that I'm not looking to add to the number of stainless steel watches I own right now. But it's going to be tough not picking up one of these modern orange hand beauties. The new Sub is a much easier decision - sell my 16610, add a little cash, and it's a zero sum addition to the collection. But it will take a LOT of discipline to not add the new Exp. II next year. Maybe after it's been out a couple of years and can be had at a depreciated rate....hmmm....Anyone else excited about his one?
I think this is the longest it has taken me to decide on a watch.I mean there are so many different options available and they are all great! So finally it came down to what suited my personality bestand I am glad I took the time to really decide on itSo here it is
Hi,I'd like to show here the next Project in the forum ClubOkieS:Diver del foroMany will wonder how it's possible for a project to go before to end the Tokkotai , the truth that It was not the intention , but the opportunity is now or never. The DiverThis project commemorates Diver Seiko brand , we were looking for pay tribute to the special essence of seiko divers .This time we don't make a tribute to a particular model, now we'll make a tribute to a range of Seiko watches .For this tribute we decided that the diver had a clearly vintage look mixed with modern fashions. To do this , we designed a watch with the following features:Diver.- Movement from TMI equivalent to 6R15.- 300 meters / 30 atm- Domed sapphire- Steel case, brushed on the top and mirror-polished on the sides , with a diameter of 44 mm and a thickness of approx. 14 mm .- Screw crown without crown guard with the brand logo .-120 clicks bezel with sapphire insert . The insert includes lumen- Dial with metalic efect in grey
Hi everyone,I'm fairly new to the luxury watch world, as I became very interested in timepieces just this past summer. As I'm turning 21 and beginning a career I feel this is the perfect time to have picked up this hobby, as I feel that a watch says a lot about a person. After many hours of research, I decided on the Speedy Pro Sapphire Sandwich - I couldn't possibly think of using the hesalite crystal as a daily (although I know some disagree) and am also extremely fascinated by the view of the movement, so my choice was a natural one.I hope to soon learn how to remove the bracelet so that I can try on the Perforated Racing strap that I ordered with the watch (it's just sitting there, teasing me). The AD who sold me the watch promised to guide me through the process over the phone next week. I'm trying to learn by myself as I tend to be impatient with eagerness, but so far none of the online guides have me confident enough to try (all I have is a small screwdriver, which is what my AD
A few months back my 14060M Submariner was knocked off of my counter and the 7 O'Clock marker dislodged from the face. I contacted Rolex, and I thought the lead times of 12-16 weeks and cost for a replacement dial (they said they wouldn't repair the current dial and a mandatory service was non-negotiable) were a little unreasonable.I'm not very experienced with Rolex repairs nor am I a serious collector, so I came here for recommendations and Bod Ridley at Watchmakers International was sent over by a number of members.I contacted them, and their service was beyond excellent. After a phone call with Philip Ridley, I sent it in and had the watch back in 9 days with a new main spring, service, and repaired dial.I'm very grateful for their assistance getting the only watch I care about back on my wrist in a timely manner, and thought I would share the experience.
