Raymond Weil 5229-PC5-00659 wrist watches news:
I just picked-up my LV that I had on layaway for the past six months and it looks great. Now I'm looking at the Explorer II white dial. My AD asked what would seem a good discount to me and I told them 25%.Hey, go for gold. I did tell them that there is an AD in Toronto, Canada (4 hours away from me) that discounts Rolex 20-25% depending on the model (no word of a lie, they a one of the biggest volume AD's in the province and my AD knows that). Since I'm a returning customer do I have a chance for 25%??
Hi everyone first of all I just would like to introduce myself to the forum as this is my first post. My name is Mike I'm from PA and always wore a hand me down quartz Tag from my dad, until recently! Last week a friend of mine decided he needed to dump some watches from his vast collection. I was fortunate to pick up two watches from him both IWC. One is the port chrono & the other is the 7 day reserve port. The downfall is both are white face, blue hands, & blue strap, which I'm not crazy about but the deal was too good to pass up. I plan on keeping the 7 day reserve as I like the bigger face & the deployment clasp. To start I was wondering what authentic IWC straps cost as I would like to change it to black. Also, is it possible to get the dial & hands changed to different colors, looking to get the black face and stainless hands. If this is possible any idea how much these things run? In regaurds to the port chrono I know for a fact it was purchased from T
I have 3 watches. A 18K Breitling Wings Automatic with a black croc band, a Tissot Chrono I havent worn for 2 years Because it is really had to read, and a Breitling B-1 which is my day to day watch. The wings is hard to read but gets worn when I dress up. The B-1 is well worn. Well it is beat to crap. I would send it in but it has dents and scratches all over. It has endured quite a bit of abuse. I expect the battery to die in the next 6 months. Here is the delima, send it off the breitling and spent $500+ in refurbishment or move to a new watch.I recently saw a Ball watch in a magazine. I really like how easy it looks like the dial is to read. I travel and the GMT style watch is attractive. I am a big man, I need a big watch. I have also looked at the Rolex GMT (love the gold one) but this watch will get worked over and I am not ready to abuse a Rolex. Are there other watches I should be considering or should I spend the money and put the Breitling through refurbishment?THAN
I know it's really random but just out of interest...Do the standard titanium plots and ss plots have same tone/color?In some pictures titanium looks darker but not too sure...Those of you who have models like FC diver and other Offshores, do the plots look the same in tone?
I have been searching Google and this forum and can't seem to find much information to help me answer this question how mechanically durable and reliable are Patek movements, especially compared with Rolex movements? Here's some background for why I am asking this question:I am considering getting a Patek for my next watch. I'm drawn to Patek because of its history, quality of finishing, and value retention, while also being relatively understated. I also really like the look of a number of their watches. I currently wear a SS Daytona most days. I love the watch, but one thing I don't always like is the attention it gets and the assumptions that some might make about me because I wear a Rolex. One thing undeniably good about Rolex is how durable and reliable their watches are. Rolex does a good job touting the testing their watches go through and it seems there are countless stories of Rolex watches being worn every day as the owner's only watch and lasting decades, as well as stories
