GMT misaligned hands?
I have three Rolexes, one is a new GMT bought in December 08. I have previously had GMTs from Omega and TAG.The 24 hour hand on the Rolex did not align with the hour indicator when the minute hand was at 1200. There was a good 2-1/2 minutes delay before the 24 hour hand was exactly in line with the hour marker. The watch has been back to the AD three times and to the factory for adjustment. There is still some misaglinment, about 1 minute between the hours of 1200 and 2400 on the 24 hour hand. Going "down" the dial from 2400 to 1200 there does not seem to be any misalignment. I could not see that either my Omega or TAG had the same problem.Has anyone else experienced this?Rgds,

Strap change opinions please
I'm looking for a change of the strap of my Rolex Date, I tried many colors and styles, and none is the perfect match IMHOpity that Rolex don't make 19mm jubilees...Well here are the ones I used the mostboth are Hirsch, and I like the first more, but as said is not the perfect matchNow, I was looking at these, and I like them very much, but not sure on how about the white stitching will look on this watch, or maybe that can be the trick to have it less serious?* Distressed Aviator Watch Band | de Beer Sport Leather | 19mm Regular | Dark Brown* Distressed Aviator Watch Band | de Beer Sport Leather | 19mm Regular | Medium BrownBTW, I want a color to contrast the black face, and I think the brown is the one that suits betterFire away, opinions welcome :D

Does the Packaging on a new watch matter?
I would not normally bring up a subject like this but my wife recently brought it up and I must say I tend to agree with her views. Last month I was lucky enough to purchase 3 watches - An I.W.C. Pilots Chronograph and aGlashutte Original Senator Navigator for myself and a Bi-metal Rolex Datejust for my wife. The two watches that I purchased for myself were presented in beautifully crafted boxes which made them seem special. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the Rolex box which to put it frankly is extremely cheap and nasty. I was amazed at this because Rolex put so much emphasis on image. I know we all just take the watch out of it's box and put it away but when one gives an expensive gift the least you should be able to expect is quality packaging. Judging by the number of "incoming" posts showing pictures of the various stages of opening the box a lot of other members of the forum must feel the same.

New Tudor Glamor Day/Date losing 5 seconds a day
Hi I love my Tudor Day/Date, except that after a week it's averaged a loss of 5 seconds a day. I understand that:1. It's not chronometer certified (-4-+7 seconds/day). But I also understand that its an ETA top movement, and that ETA chronometer movements are just top movements that have been sent in for certification and passed. I also understand that the 2824-2 movement was modified by Rolex in ways that should, I assume, provide additional improvement over off the shelf 2824-2s2. So, I have a top movement (modified by Rolex) that would have failed the certification test.3. So, Should I have it recalibrated (I'm assuming for no charge under warranty)? or:4. Are there any drawbacks/risks to having the case opened for the benefit of correcting one second out of COSC tolerances? (understanding that most would prefer their watches to run fast rather than slow like mine).By the way: my first post - thanks all for a great forum.
