- My husband purchased this watch for me as a gift. It is even prettier than the photo portrays. I have had it for almost a year and I have had no blems with it, not to mention it still looks brand new. In my opinion, it has a look of elegance.

Sponsored PostThe Stranger Watch Company Thoroughbred Collection dates back to the early '80s, to the city of Taraz, Kazakhstan ¨C a city with a 2000-year history, one of the main stops on The Great Silk Way, and the city where Stranger Watch Company founder Jahn Karsybaev grew up. Karsybaev's uncle owned a horse ranch and his primary business was domesticating wild horses. He would turn wild animals into these beautiful galloping horses, most of which would later take part in Equestrian and Polo events. Growing up, Jahn visited his uncle's ranch every summer and was truly amazed by these elegant yet powerful creatures. The most amazing part was seeing the transformation process of wild stallions turned into graceful horses. This was quite an inspiration, and he really wanted to pay tribute to that in some shape or form, and this watch collection was a perfect opportunity to do so. The Stranger Thoroughbred Collection includes 4 distinct models: Akhal Teke, Andalusian, Mangalarga, Oldenb

I had a Citizen chrono that was stamped "Water Resistant 100M", I had it for 8 years, splashed around in the Atlantic ocean one weekend, no diving, barely submerged, and a few days later it stopped working, I though it was the battery. Took it to two jeweler¡¯s and they said water got into the case through the chrono buttons and damaged the movement, est $360.00. I said "but it say's water resistant 100m", they said unless it has screw down crowns it's not water proof, so I said "then why are some watches stamped 100m other 300m, and you can't even wash a car in them?" I gotta shrug from one jeweler, the other wanted to show a new chrono, what gives?
First off, just want to say that I'm happy with the way the forum is looking. Gotten used to it quite quickly. One question, however. Does anyone know of a shortcut to view the last two days' posts (or so) without having to go into the search feature. I don't know if it was the old BB or my computer, but I got very used to just clicking on a button in the top bar that allowed me to do this. It also showed the posts I had read as well as those I had not. Can someone shed some light?
I'm in process to acquire 2002 Speedmaster from an online retailer. Certainly Omega builds nice watches but when I tried on my coworker's Bond Seamaster, it feels very thin and light. My current watch is a 116610 Submariner. It feels solid and has substantial weight. My concern about the Speedmaster is that it might feel flimsy. Can anyone with a Speedmaster can weigh in?
