Philip Stein 1GCBSS wrist watches news:
The La Chaux-de-Fonds Manufacture has unveiled a white gold version of the annual calendar and equation of time from its Girard-Perregaux 1966 collection. This model incorporates a useful annual calendar that takes account of the lengths of the months, save February. Also on board is an equation of time, indicating the difference between the true solar time and the mean time, or meridian time. The functions are displayed on the dial in an original yet highly readable way. As an added touch of sophistication, the calendar can be corrected by turning the crown in either direction. This makes correction easier, and the absence of a corrector on the case leaves its curves intact. The transparent caseback allows a view into the architecture imagined and executed by the watchmakers in La Chaux-de-Fonds, including the Microvar variable inertia balance.Technical specificationsCase in white goldDiameter: 40 mmHeight: 10.72 mmSapphire crystalSapphire case-backWater resistance: 30 metresGirard-Pe
There is something special about a hand-finished, manually wound, in-house chronograph. It is a category that houses so many of the timepieces to which so many of us aspire to own – and today we will compare three of the very best available in the world today. This original HODINKEE Three On Three pits heavyweight contenders from A. Lange & Söhne, Vacheron Constantin, and Patek Philippe against one another in several categories: design, finishing, wearability, and collectibility. The thing about this comparison is, quite simply, there is no wrong choice – we purposefully selected the finest manually wound chronographs we could think of – all priced similarly – to be able to highlight each watch's strengths and weakness, of which there are many.Have a look at our video first and then read on for the details of these three incredible timepieces. In a world of round dive watches and Rolex Sub clones, I find this design very refreshing! Of course, I own the watch, so I should. What's your most unusual diver?
I wanted to buy a standard buckle for my 24mm OEM panerai rubber strap. I was looking at the panerai price list, and noticed there are straps for 'ardillion' buckles and straps for folding buckles. if I want just a regular (non-folding) buckle, I am going to have to buy a new strap for it also? I attached a picture of the buckle I was going to bid on, but not if I have to buy another strap.
