Philip Stein 1WDNWGBR wrist watches news:
It seems that a majority of the people who "get the call", have a White Dial version waiting for them. Granted most dealers get only one or two per year, if that. Therefore.......What is the reason that so many are white, or at least reported to be white on this forum by their owners? A. US Martket data indicates that Americans prefer the white dial version.B. Europeans prefer the black, so less make their way to the US.C. Far East puts a $4000 premium on black, and thus fewer make their way to the US as they are a more desired in these other markets.Does anyone, (fingers crossed on this one JBH) know white vs. black production numbers? Perhaps more white are manufactured according to preferences of the consumer, of which this watch is VERY POPULAR, yet scarce regardless of color.Thank you in advance.Regards,PC
I am somewhat new to automatics and Omegas. I have two. One is a Seamaster De Ville with a 562 movement. The other is an earlier Seamaster with a 354 bumper movement that I wear once a week or so and keep the remainder of the time in a watchwinder. My problem is it won't stay wound even keeping it in the winder. I had it serviced right after I purchased it, within the past two months. Has anyone else encountered this problem with bumper movements? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't have this problem with the De Ville. Thanks for your help and I enjoy your enthusiasm for great watches.
I WANTED A BIRTH YEAR AMMO STRAP THIS YEAR BECAUSE MY BIRTH YEAR IS '56 AND I AM NOW 56 . AND I WANTED TO COMMEMORATE THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME ALIGNMENT OF THE STARS ..SINCE JANUARY I ASKED A FRIEND STRAP MAKER IN THE PHILIPPINES , 0RION00 TO SEARCH FOR AN AMMO BAG TO WORK ON , AND AFTER 5 MONTHS THIS MAY, HE FOUND ONE AND STARTED ON IT ;HE SENT ME PICS OF OF THE FINISHED STRAP ! AND WITH A BONUS HE FOUND ONE WITH MY INITIAL M I HURRIEDLY PICKED IT UP AND SET IT UP ON MY LUM-TEC VINTAGE NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS ECSTATIC TFL
Sorry for the picks the battery died in my camera so these are the best I can do right now.Sorry, the plastic is still on the back of the watch.
I¡¯ve got a TT datejust with a black dial that I want to put on a leather strap. I can¡¯t decide which color leather to go with. Would a brown strap be too much with the SS case, gold bezel and black dial ? Or would the black strap look better with the black dial? Thoughts and opinions welcome....
