Piaget G0A31163 wrist watches news:
Describes this dial as being "100% original near excellent condition". It may be an original dial for something but not for this watch.60s Vintage Mens HAMILTON TRANSCONTINENTAL A Automatic - eBay (item 250783100961 end time Mar-13-11 20:52:47 PDT)
In getting clean-up done on a very old, dirty watch case, I removed some of the black enamel from the bottom of the engravings along the bezel and the sides of the case. The case is a hinged, chromed base metal from the mid-1920's. How do I re-apply it, and what do I use? I know there was a thread somewhere on these forums, recently, that discussed this very topic, but I simply can't find it. I think it was on the American forum or the Hamilton forum. Can anybody help?
Although on the ugly side, I've always wanted one of those. Here are some pics I took.Lume...Non Lume...Thanks for looking. And yes, it is indeed ugly and it does not go with anything. Maybe that's the attraction. Sort of a Hummer H1 of the watch world. Angular, tough, rugged looking.
So, I've just picked up a 15400 blue to keep my PP 5711 company and I absolutely love the watch - the design, the weight, the clasp, and the stunning blue dial. Now, I'm not feint of heart, I wear my every Rolex I own with PCLs without fear of scratches (they happen to add character IMHO), but with the new RO I want to wear it as freely, but do fear scratches (more so than with the PCL Rolex lines) as the flat planes/edges of the watch are simply stunning. In order to help me get over this silly fear of scratches, can you kindly post pics of your well-worn 15400's, 15300's, esteemed 15202's, and chronos to assuage my concerns.I happen to come from the NO POLISH at any cost school of thought so your pictures will be most appreciated. Thanks in advance - very happy to have joined the club!!
A few more pics for everybody as I figure out which RO I want for my first AP. I'm sure some of you will recognize the couch in the NYC boutique I also tried the blue Jumbo, but for some reason the dial didn't dazzle me like the 41mm. Decisions decisions¡
