Current vs. Previous Generation Submariner - Case/Bracelet Style
I have seen prior threads regarding this. When Rolex went from 16610 to 116610, there were several improvements but I think the one that sticks out to me the most is what seems to be a more durable, more adjustable bracelet. Also, if I can afford a slightly newer model of anything why not - presumable it will last longer since it's newer.In the shop today trying one of the new ones on for the first time, I thought "hmm, this bracelet looks a little narrow". I have since learned why the bracelet looks more narrow - it's because of the fatter, er, lugs or whatever on the case/body. I am not really digging how the bracelet looks more "narrow" even though I know it's just a fatter case.If I already owned the previous-generation 16610 I definitely don't think I would want to trade up, but as a first-time buyer, I am really torn on this issue.I want the newer 116610 model for the technical upgrades and just that it's newer, but I am really not a fan of how that bracelet looks next to the

So, here's a few of the new 2013 Rolex releases.New "Ice Blue" dialed Daytona in platinum.New GMT II with bi-color ceramic bezel.New Day-Date on straps.Other new models include more Day-Dates, a stainless steel YachtMaster II, and ladies DateJust Pearlmasters.For me the new Daytona is just stunning. That ice blue dial is one of my favorite dials. Although MSRP will undoubtedly be at least $65K. My second favorite is the blue Date-Just. That's just WOW!!!!!
