Hello from the new guy.
I have been fond of watches my whole life. I have been through many cheap/inexpensive watches over the years. I wish I could afford the top of the line, skillfully hand crafted status symbols that I admire. But as a military man I have to stick with entry level work horses. Right now I have a Citizen Eco Drive Skyhawk, Wenger TerraGraph 7276, Invicta Pro Diver 9937, and a Triumph 3034-04.I lust for the day I can swing a Breitling Navitimer, Rolex YachtMaster, Omega Seamaster (catching the nautical bug yet?), etc.

Boschett Reef RangerI have had the fortunate experience to own and experience the new Reef Ranger from Boschett Watches (boschett-timepieces). This watch was designed and inspired by the owner of the company, Keith Boschetti. Keith took his knowledge, and the input from other watch enthusiasts, to combine and produce his first production, all Swiss watch - the Reef Ranger.

Diver
Do you think AP will one day release a SS diver with ceramic bezel? That would be a hell of a watch, I am sure they thought about it but IMO they don't do it because it would make too much competition with their 44mm SS pieces with ceramic bezels which go for much more than the 42mm diver, with the ceramic bezel it would clearly blow away any other dive watches on the market, even without it's one of the best, but with it the diver would achieve perfection.After more than 2 days I am still in awe with the work, finish and perfection of AP ceramic, it's just incredible and next to it all other full ceramic pieces from other brands look like poorly finished, to my very limited knowledge no other brand does that amazing mix of brushed and polished ceramic, and the vertical lines is a definite plus, I'm sure the first models with satin finish are great but those lines just gives it a little something extra

I deeply appreciate I never felt in love with this Genta design. People can have their taste. Fair & Square. Not in a +100 years I would pay the market overprice demands for a 5711 or 5712.For these hysterical prices there are +100 watches I would prefer to own.To each his own. So glad I don't see the artistic and aesthetic brilliance in the Nautilus.I see a boring grey steel 1970s Airport disaster movie with Burt Lancaster.

Going down the PM route...
Just when I thought I had achieved perfection with my collection, I've gotten the itch to add another... Thankfully I'm surrounded by a bunch of enablers here who won't judge me for my failings. I have my eye on a PM piece this time around (the 116519ln to be specific) and I find myself stuck -- unable to act -- as I consider the price of entry into the PM club.I've got the cash to do it, so this isn't an issue of stretching myself too thin. But I do like to make smart buying decisions and I like to go into things like this with eyes wide open.Some things that have me thinking twice about the PM investment:Is there a good time to buy a PM piece?Does PM result in more expensive maintenance costs over the long haul?Will I practically be able to wear PM on a regular basis or is it a special occasion watch only?For those of you who have taken the plunge, any regrets?
