Hi everyone!I have not been around much lately, so an email prompt from Idleswede got me thinking I should stop by and say Hi!Hi Leo!! :DWent to NJ a few weeks back for my 20 YEAR high school reunion and I had to stop by my favorite hoagie stop while I was visiting. Notice how we got my watch in the shot Miss everyone and yes I am doing just fine!!

Would paying with cash get me a lower price at the AD?
Last time i visited the AD in Florida, they were very nice and offered me 18% off retail price because I was so young and hoped to keep me as a customer for life (this tactic would indeed work as I tend to stay loyal to stores/salespeople who treat me well). My question is to whether you feel the dealer would accept an offer from me if I told them to kick my discount up to 22% at which point I would give them the money in its entirety via cash in my pocket. My dad swears by this tactic with everything he buys, although he has never used it to buy a watch. He tells me this works in two ways: 1. My other method of payment would be credit card, and the dealer has to pay somewhere between a 4-5% service charge to the credit card company, thus cash would solve that problem. 2. People have a harder time turning down a reasonable offer when they know or see that the actual money is right there in front of them ready to be exchanged. Having said that, I know that Rolex keeps a tight handle on

44mm ROO Chrono Arrow doesn't return to center.
Hello, The red chrono arrow on my watch does not sit dead center as it should. Its set a bit to the right. I'm guessing this is not normal. Any ideas, or has anyone seen this before?Hate the idea of sending it in for service, as I just got it a few weeks ago!!It also runs about 15 seconds fast over a 24 hour period.

Thinking of taking the Panerai plunge!
I am very much a Rolex addict with a sideline in Omega's. Panerai had never really entered into my consciousness except as a brand that Rolex supplied movements to many years ago.Now all that has changed. Looking around my AD the other evening I stumbled into the Panerai display case and was immediately smitten by a black Luminor Marina 8 day model. But it looked so big on my 6.5 wrist I just wasn't sure. The salesman of course said it looked fantastic Anyway, I thought I should do some research before deciding whether or not to buy one of these intriguing watches. It doesn't help one's research when the watch world is divided between lovers and haters of the brand with no one taking a neutral position. Something about this brand polarises opinion. My research has led me to favouring 2 Luminor models - the base and the Luminor Base 8 days. I feel I now prefer the clean dial look of these over the Marina with its seconds hand at 9. I think I'm going to go for the 8 day model - I like t
