Breitling Chronomat GMT New Model!
Breitling has finally released a new movement (sort of) with their 04 class! It resides in the new Breitling Chronomat GMT, which is just the day before. Its a terrible 47 mm Chronomat with a GMT complication. And as the Rolex GMT II and of the Omega Seamaster, the main hand of 12 hours is used for the local time and is indexed on the date, so it can more easily be used for travel. A nice touch and a good blow on a part of the Breitling do that instead the opposite is much less useful for travel. The only thing which lack this watch is a window 24 hours a day. Instead, you get a diving-account countdown bezel and 24-hour scale is printed on the dial. However, I think more interesting is the possibility that buyers can now purchase a Chronomat in a larger format 47 mm.

Luxupak...
Some months ago, someone was here selling a $100.00 Luxupak single winder for ten bucks. I know you get what you pay for but, hey, I could't pass it up for ten bucks.Well, it's stopped working. It doesn't run at all, regardless of the power source (AC or DC).I've written to them regarding this, both with the PM feature here and through their website, and have heard nothing from them.Has anyone else who purchased one having a problem with the winder? The thing worked great for a long time and then, one day, just gave up the ghost. I don't think Luxupak is a sponsor here but, if they are, they need to be a bit more responsive to their customers...

My first vintage
I went to Conecticut last summer for a family reunion. On one of the days we went to a church rummage sale. I didn't really want to go but I didn't want to stay with my wifes family most of whom I do not know. So we get there and there is junk everywhereOld appliances on the front church lawn. old beds on the side, rusty lawn mowers behind them...you get the picture. The musty smell was overwhelming. I mustered my courage and went inside anyway(mostly because it had started to rain.)Surprizingly enough everything was organized according to catagory pretty well. Toys here, electronics there, clothes in the center of the gym, movies and videos on te stage, and jewlry over th....JEWELRY?!! I gotta see this, maybe they might have some watches. I wasn't expecting much and I was right...Mostly costume jewelry and in a wide bowl on the end of te table were some watches. Oh well it was worth a look...mostly old dead cheap digitals. Then I started to look at the womens watches.Again oh well...m

Does anyone make a Deployant clasp for Panerai that doesn't suck?
I hate my PAM 104 deployant clasp. It's curved so great it digs into my wrist. I bought a Panerai brand normal non-deployant buckle and a couple straps, but now I can't wear the old straps since the deployant buckle is terrible and straps aren't cross compatible. Should I write off the old straps and buy all new ones? And also, where would I find replacement screws? I haven't lost any yet, but as tiny as they are I'm afraid I'll strip or lose one.
