What is your favorite style?
What is your favorite style of watch? Diver, dress, race inspired, etc.?I'll be the first to answer. Yellow or rose gold dress chronograph. I love the seeming incongruity of the combination, and some look just as formal (to me anyway) as the traditional no complications dress watch. I don't have one and doubt I will because if I were to buy one i would want the real deal - solid gold, auto, beautiful guilloche dial, etc., and I don't think I'll ever spend as much on a watch as our Jeep. I've considered some of the less expensive Chinese movement chronos, but I can't get past the fact that they are gold plated rather than solid gold.So what's your favorite style and do you have one of that style?

New Arrival (why fight it?)
So I lied...Couldn't resist the opportunity to pick up this guy, and I am happy (as well as a little embarrassed) to say this is my first Ebay purchase. The watch in question is a Christopher Ward C40 Speedhawk with the lovely ETA Valjoux 7750 on board. I am not a fan of metal bracelets so I have a black leather w/red stitching strap on the way. So I guess this bracelet has about a week to grow on me. Prior to buying I had concerns about the bezel being too large for the face, but in person the whole thing really works. It's a handsome and sporty looking watch with a beautiful movement out back. This is the first watch I own with the 7750, and it seems to be very deep, as in, it sits pretty high off the wrist. 40th anniversary RO 15202.. Worth the wait over a 15300?
Hi all..Got a ROO Panda (which is unfortunately stuck in the service centre) recently, but it's arrival only made me lust for my next piece..Had originally set my sights on the new 40th anniversary RO Jumbo.. Unfortunately havent had a chance to experience it on the wrist, as I have been told by the boutique and ADs that stock will only arrive next year.. My lust for it has been based mainly on what guys like yourselves have been sayingNow I'm wondering what you guys feel, especially for those that have owned the piece as well as a 15300.. Do you think it's worth the significant price differential? Haven't had a change to try on a 15300 either as it has been discontinued, so can't really find out which piece sings to me more on the wrist..15202 will definitely take a much longer time in terms of saving up for it.. My wife and spent the day at Clarkson Jewelers, our local Rolex AD. They had a Holiday Open House all weekend. I don't think that many people knew they were open on Sunday. We had the run of the store for the majority of +2 hours. We got to try on just about every watch they had. Then my wife spots a Yatchmaster, about the same I spotted this Transocean GMT. And now we have two new watches.We didn't take pictures of all the watches we tried on but I included the ones we did try.And the chrono I REALLY wanted!

Cosc Certificate Arrives . . . interesting . . .
I ordered the COSC Certificate for my 36.2mm Railmaster (.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=114083) awhile back. It arrived today.Some folks have complained that Omega now charges 50 Swiss Francs ($48.47) for the Certificate. As you can see on the envelope, Omega pays 11.50 Swiss Francs just in postage. Now, while I don't think 50 Swiss Francs is a great bargain, considering Omega has to order the Certificate, probably pay COSC a little something for it (after all, if it was free Omega would probably provide it routinely with the watch), and then ship it to us in the USA, the price doesn't seem outrageous either.Interestingly, in studying the figures for the movement in various positions, it confirms what I had noticed by trial and error. The watch likes to rest on its back at night and absolutely does not like resting on the 9 o'clock with the 3 o'clock up (really slows down).
