Hey guys. Finally got the watch I¡¯ve wanted since I knew of the existence of the submariner. I always thought I¡¯d never ever be able to get this watch. As the years went on I became devastated by the price increase year after year. I was offered a solid deal from a friend who bought this watch to get a friend out of a bind, but didn¡¯t necessarily want it. I did whatever I could to have the funds together ASAP and picked it up yesterday! 1975 Serif dial 5513. Keeping beautiful time, all it needs is a crown tube / crown and a new PIP.I¡¯m over the moon! As I have been saying, you people are nothing but enablers! If you have seen my other thread I was considering adding a no date Sub as a kind of beater relaxed casual watch to my collection. I love my SD43 but I think it's almost too nice to wear in certain situations - it just sort of screams Rolex and in some places I may want to be a little more under the radar than that. So I even considered replacing my SD with a Sub. A couple people on that thread suggested I look into maybe purchasing a Tudor, and keeping the Sea Dweller. Which brings me to today. I visited one of my AD's and took a look at a Submariner. Naturally they only had a TT or YG in stock. No stainless models at all (big shock, I know). So I tried on the TT and although I liked it a lot, I still had the same issue with it I had with my old GMT - it just seems a little smaller on me than I prefer.
