Rado R20339712 wrist watches news:
Hi everyone,I recently got introduced to the world of fine watches and, well, I decided I want one. After browsing around, I really fell in love with two different Omega Seamaster models (2220.80.00 and 2535.80.00).I have tried both of these on. The GMT version is definitely thicker, but the non-GMT version has a slightly larger dial. A saleswoman had to endure a good five minutes of awkward silence, while I stared blankly at these two watches on my wrist trying to make up my mind. Honestly, I probably won't be diving at all in my future. I can't swim. I would probably react to diving into 6 feet of water like a Chihuahua reacts to getting a cold bath. I also don't think I will be roaming across different time zones too often, unless my cubicle can fly. Therefore, the function of these watches isn't a major factor for me.Given that information, I was wondering if I could get some of your thoughts on these two watches, purely from a cosmetic perspective? Which one would you cho
A quick preface:A little over a year ago I purchased my first mechanical watch. After extensive research, I decided on a frugal Seiko 5 (SNK795K1) with the 7S26 movement. It was understated enough to be worn with any attire, but looked sharp with a suit. And at $55, it fit nicely into my graduate student budget.Wow, I must say. After wearing it mountain biking, skiing, and to numerous interviews, Seiko far exceeded my expectations for quality and finish. The movement quickly settled to +10 seconds per day or so, and hasn't budged since.Presently:My financial situation has improved a bit, and I'm looking to take the plunge once more. I've been researching watches in the $150-350 range, but have found it to be rather devoid of any really enticing deals. The Invicta 9937 was alluring with the ETA movement, hacking, manual wind, and sapphire crystal. Invicta's less-than-perfect quality control not withstanding. However, the new SW200 movement Invicta has bastardized it with seems to have mo
I see the specs say 40mm in diameter, but there is no mention of height. And by the looks of it, it's pretty tall so I just wanted to see if anyone knew the exact number. Wondering how well it would fit under a dress shirt cuff. Thanks
I had a Pam 005, but I am small and thin wristed, so I felt that it was too big for me. I do miss it. Can anyone recommend a smaller (42?) Panerai at a reasonable cost?
How can there be any justification why the white gold Pepsi with same insert was ?20,000 more expensive than the near on exact same now steel Pepsi there isn’t ?20,000 worth of white gold in it at allAt 18ct white gold rate you can get 1kg bar of white gold to go with your ss Pepsi - I find it staggering, at best there is roughly 150g of white gold in th gold gmt (?3000) so simply put ?17000 is unexplainable. Is it any wonder SS models not being sent out call me cynical but I’m not stupid.
