- I went to buy this for myself the other day, and came home and found a friend had bought it for me for my birthday. Love it. Great watch, and not like everything else out there. I would recommend it.

Piaget G0A31158 wrist watches news:
I've got my eye on a vintage Helvetia watch. In my Internet searching I'm not turning up much information about the company and watches. Can anyone point me to some good sources online or otherwise? Thanks.
So I dug up my Dad's old Seiko that he gave me and snapped some pics for fun:Here's what I know about it:-My Mom bought it as a wedding present in July 1971-Front says:SEIKOautomaticDX17 JewelsAt the bottom of the dial, barely readable, it says JAPAN 6106-6019P (last letter could possibly be R)-Caseback says:SEIKO6106-6007074106-Strap says:Hong Kong100% stainless steelKreisler-When I shake it it runs fine, and although the bracelet is a little too small which keeps me from wearing it for a whole day, it has been keeping time for the past few minutes I've had it out. This is somewhat impressive, as I seriously doubt that it has been serviced or opened for the past 40 years.I'm interested to see if anyone knows anything about it or how much it may be worth (not that I would sell it). Also as a side note, how much would it cost to give it a service? I think at some point I will be obliged to give it a tune up, as it is a family heirloom. Thanks for looking!
Ok, sometime back I had asked some of you for your advice on some high end watches since I was hoping to come into a bit of spare cash. But after much consideration, I decided to invest most of it and now I'm left with just a quarter of the original budget. Recently, a few of us friends were discussing to take a small trip to either Singapore or Hong Kong, sometime in November. Although its still tentative, I am wondering whether to go ahead with the trip or to save up for another few months and go for a high end watch. What do you guys feel?
I never see anything about Montblanc watches. Just wondering what the general consensus is on these. I have wanted to get one of these for quite some time.
As many of you know I've been hankering after a Planet Ocean for quite some time now & our very own Chris (The GMTMaster) did me an absolutely fantastic deal on an Orange-Bezelled 45.5mm!! I'd almost forgotten the sheer 'heft' & 'wrist-presence' of the PO as well as the confidence-inspiring feeling of 'indestructibility' that the watch has; & that's exactly what I want from my daily-wearer especially when working on Construction Sites & at our Waste Management & Recycling facility.I've also long-lusted after a 16610 LV & Chris very kindly let me carefully try on one that his shop has set aside for another customer, (only with the owner/customer's permission though which I thought was very professional of Chris ) & although they're a great watch (& I still want one! ) I'm glad I bagged the PO now before Omega & their new ceramics (as well as their prices) get ever-more 'Rolex-like', & I'm sure my 2208.50.00 is going to prove itself more than wo
